Hi D.,
We are also military stationed at RAF Lakenheath, we were suppose to leave this Aug 08, but have been extended to Aug 09. We've been in the UK for 2 1/2 years. We have three children a daughter 17 soon to be 18, but thinks she is going on 25, two sons 16 and 10. I love being able to travel around Europe and I have enjoyed living here in England.
The virus is a type of flu call Norovirus you have to need to increase fluids and rest, once you start to feel good they say you should still remain home for two additional days to not spread the virus. See email below I received last week. My husband is a PCM in Family Practice and so far they have only see a few cases of it here. There isn't much the doctors can do because it's a virus and it has to run it's course, just keep your fluids up so you will not have to get stuck with a needle at ER and receive fluids

All facilities and employees need to be aware that there is an increase in cases of the Norovirus and supervisor's and managers need to stressthe importance of proper hand washing. Also if you have an employee that has the symptoms associated with the Norovirus they need to be excluded from handling food for a minimum of 3 day after there symptoms have cleared. If you have any questions please contact the Public Health office at ###-###-####.
