Anyone Else Pranking Their Kids Today? :)

My Dd will be turning 4 this month, and is finally old enough to appreciate a good prank. I've already gotten her twice this morning, (frozen bowl of cereal, and jello in a cup as undrinkable juice.) and once she understood that it was a joke she thought it was hilarious. (Then had to pull the jello prank on Daddy. Lol.)

I've got a list of fun, harmless pranks that I will be pulling on her all day, along with a couple for her to pull on Daddy and her aunt. Hee hee hee. This is the first time I've participated in April Fools' for years, so I'm having fun with it. :)

So, anyone else pulling pranks today? :)

So What Happened?

Eta: hee hee. I got her again by unscrewing the tap on the bathroom sink, and putting a dye tablet in it. I also put a couple drops of food color on her toothbrush. So when she went to brush her teeth, the water came out pink, and her spit was green. :) she loved it! I really enjoy pranks like this. :)

My son had a huge select choir performance this morning and had to be at practice at 7 am. I woke him up in a panic saying my alarm didn't go off and that it was 7:20, not 6:20 and that he was late. He bolted up and started running for the bathroom to get ready and I started laughing and he stopped mid stride and said "you tricked me, didn't you?" :) It got him out of bed and moving though!
I now have some great ideas to get both boys tonight!

I got our 10 year old the last two years with the rubber band on the sink sprayer. Had to step up my game this year. I got up half an hour early and switched the cereal boxes, and put neon green food coloring in the milk. It looked normal till it was poured. I then blew up a balloon, put it in a bowl, frosted it with cool whip, and threw on some sprinkles (told em we could have cake for breakfast-on a school day!! That should have tipped them off). Huge mess-but totally worth it. Then I packed their lunch and slipped a gummy worm in each sandwich.
I'm sure they will be retaliating after school. Good times.

My husband got us! He must have stayed up late last night and filled the inside of my car with streamers. Its taped up everywhere.

We pranked our son. Last night we wrote out jokes on the toilet paper, filled an empty toothpaste tube with water, and wrapped his shoes in bubble wrap with packing tape.

I'm driving him to the ballet studio instead of baseball practice after school, and will tell him we signed him up for ballet instead of baseball.

While we're gone, my husband is going to set up the tent and put all the bedding in it, and send him there when its time for bed. But I'm scared what else my husband is going to do.

I love AFD!

No way do I have the time and energy to pull something elaborate like that. Kudos to all who do.

After the winter we've had, I just joined the millions of moms, I'm sure, who told their kids it was snowing yet again this morning. My son totally bought it. And then, he totally got me by telling me -- in authentic, panicked, tearful tones -- that he'd just spilled orange juice all over his homework and all over my phone.

Fun times, but done for the day.

Nope, thankfully our whole family hates April 1st so we just treat it as any other day. I would imagine this could be bad for families that are split on this subject.

Don't use them all up. You've got years of pranking ahead of you.

One year I just unplugged the living room tv (aka, the big tv) and they thought it was broken and couldn't watch cartoons before school. They were devastated!!!!!! lol!!!!! I only let the prank go on for a minute or two, they just looked too sad..............hahaha!

I'm going to do the jello juice cup at snack time. I've never been one to go all out on April Fools day.

I made my DD's yogurt for lunch blue. It's in a container with a blue lid, so she may not notice til she opens it.

I switched the Cheetos in the Cheetos bag with carrots in their lunches. When they get home from school I'll saran wrap the door so they walk into it when they open it. Also planning to buy poppers and tape them to the underside of the toilet lit so when they open the toilet lid - bang! DS got me this morning, coated my car door handle in hair gel.

Very cute.

I don't like pranks. I know, I know, what a Debbie Downer. I just never have. But it sounds like you've picked some really cute ones! Have fun!

I glued a quarter to the front step. You should have seen him trying to get it.

Also, told him since it was April 1st, there weren't any cartoons on all day.
You would have thought I told him Christmas was cancelled. I only let it last for 5 seconds though (I always cave quickly) because I don't like to see him upset.

no.. the kids are at each other so, no need for me to be in the middle and an object upon which they would turn their pranks onto.

Daughter saran wrapped son's bedroom door before he got up this morning. GOOOOOOD MOrning!
