Isn't there a Child Support Enforcement division at your local social services dept or sheriff's dept? Check into that. If not, visit legal aid and get a lawyer to go after him full force
I took my ex to court on August 31st, 2009 and I am yet to receive insurance for my child. The insurance that he had through me expired September 1st and they told me it was too expensive to force him to pay. That he could use his works insurance and they gave him 90 days to apply for it! Then they told me I owed half of all expenses during the 90 days. Well he changed jobs the next week for higher pay at the lower child support amount (Grr) and they did not offer insurance. He went without paying for insurance from Aug 31st till the next May without any repercussions! I had to call Atty Gen every three weeks and all they would ever do is send out a letter to him! Well I finally get the insurance card last June. It was $90 a month out of pocket for the insurance. Cheap! Well I took my son the to doctor last week and was told the card was no good. That the insurance company said he took it out and canceled it the same day!! When I called Atty Gen I was told all they could do was send out ANOTHER letter! I am sick of the letters! He laughs at them! Plus that was money he was suppose to pay and he managed to squirm out of it. Has anyone been through this? I need help with what to do! Also can I get back owed support for his better job(s) after the three year wait time for them to review it? I was also told he did not have to pay Dental so I kept my dental on my son. My friend just took her ex to court and he has to pay dental. Was I told wrong there too? So confused now! Thanks in advance!
Well once again he found an even better job and he starts in a few weeks. He would now owe about 3x's what he is giving me. Atty Gen told me to call on the 7th and at 8am on the 7th they will hear my voice! I begged the lady after my son's insurance card failed to throw the book at him. I told her to look at how many letter he has been sent and his work was sent. They could not care any less. They tell me over and over that all they can do is send a letter. Next time I am going straight to management and beyond. My son needs better. I did ask for a modification when he got his new job because the amount was twice what I was getting and he started it the very next week! The paperwork wasn't even from the job he had on th e31st. They said sorry, you must wait three years. I had heard if the amount went up so much it could be modified as well. I will try again at that. I will also look into legal aid. I am sick of the run around! Thanks Moms!!

You don't have to wait 3 years to review it. If there has been a change in his pay and he is making more $$$ take him now also file a contempt form if he isn't covering the insurance. My ex has to cover medical and dental but while I was working his dad never ever did. He would switch jobs every 30-90 days depending on when benefits would start so when we went even though insurance through my work was more thats what we got although the judge ordered that he only be responsible for half of what the cost of insurance would have cost him at the job he had at that time. I broke it down for the judge and told him if he was a responsible individual and could hold a job and keep the insurance I would have no problem with it but where he wasn't and our son having health issues and expensive asthma meds he needed to be on mine. I have the MA state dept of revenue handle the child support I have better luck with them they figure out what he should be paying the judge approves it and then it comes out of his check and into my bank. I don't know how Texas works but maybe if you try going through their child support enforcement you will have better luck.
Get an attorney. They can help you!! Good luck!
You're asking questions that a lawyer can best answer. Different states have different laws, so you need to find an expert in Dallas who can clue you in on what can be done.
You need to file a another motion. You have to get him back in front of the judge. Calling the AG will do nothing. You need to call family services at the court or the Child Support agency at the court. Insurance is part of child support. You could also apply for Medicaid and explain to the DSS worker the situation and they may be able to direct you. All children should be able to access healthcare so please check into it using other avenues as the AG has too many cases to care.....unfortunately..... good luck
Apply for CHIP. You control it, he pays for it. They will just add the amount to the support they withhold. The Atty General will go for that.
Contact your elected representative. Don't laugh! It works wonders. They have staff that are paid to help you with this stuff. They make things happen quick. Especially in a case like this, where they are dealing with another govt office. They cut through all the bull and get straight to the top of the line. BTW, He can be held in contempt of court for not complying. And if it goes in front of a judge - they really HATE when people try to trick the system. Enrolling for 1 day to avoid doing what's right will really piss a judge off quick! That's when they start ordering back pay, back medical with interest and modifying his amount.
