We are in the market for a new bed. We have looked at the tempurpedic, but my DH is worried he will get too hot after reading the reviews. Have you made a bed purchase that you are thrilled with? Please share!

ps - I am pregnant, so that will be a consideration as well.

Thanks

I have a tempurpedic cloud supreme, which is the newest one on the market. I got it this past April because I am also pregnant and was so uncomfortable in bed and having a lot of shoulder pain from sleeping on my side. It is a big change to go from a spring mattress to a memory foam and takes some getting used to, but I love it now. I was also worried about getting hot, but it has not been a problem for us, but we do have a ceiling fan that we sleep with. We really love the cloud supreme and I would recommend it...there is a 30 day trial period that you can return the bed too. I have also heard good things about the sleep number bed. Good luck with your decision!!

I just have to echo the comments about the Select Comfort sleep number bed! Another plus to this bed is that your firmness preference will change over time and this bed allows you to change it. I'm pregnant with #3, and my number has been different every pregnancy and when I'm not preggo. Plus, I believe when we bought ours they had a 20-year warranty.

Sleep Number is awesome. We have a generic version of the Sleep Number. It is the best bed we have ever had. I looked into Tempurpedic but the reviews of it turned me away. A few reviews stated that when you roll over your previous spot doesn't 'go back' quickly thus being uncomfortable until it goes back and your new position has formed in the foam - which can cause you to 'wake up' from a good sleep. I will never go back to a regular mattress and box springs. Every regular mattress we have ever bought dipped within a year or two (even when it was 'made' not to do that) AND my husband and I are fairly small - I was 5'3" @ 105lbs. and my husband 5'9" @ 155lbs when we had the regular mattresses.

I have heard HORRIBLE things about the Tempurpedic from friends who have them. One friend is actually trying to give hers away just so she can get a new mattress! We have had Sealy and Serta and have loved both! My suggestion is to go into a mattress store and "try on" all different types. My hubby and I both feel in love with the softer mattress (after thinking we would hate it), but would never have known had we not tried a bunch out. The "traditional" mattress is SO much better than it was years ago (we got a new one at Christmas), and honestly, I think they are still one of the best, most tried and true options out there! Good luck!

We have a sleep nimber bed and it was totally worth it for us to get a good night sleep! We bought it when we were pregnant with our 3rd. I totally noticed a difference between how I slept with that pregnancy vs. the first two! I keep my number fairly low and my husband is at a 100! we love it!

We love our Select Comfort (Sleep Number) bed. I am a back and side sleeper; my husband is a stomach sleeper. I like medium firmness; he wants the bed to be very firm to keep his back straight. This bed was the ONLY one where we could get different levels firmness in the same bed. Another nice thing about this bed is that if your back is a little sore, you can adjust the bed--softer or firmer--whichever way you need it to make the pain go away.

We love the sleep number bed! We both have back problems and it has been wonderful! (Plus it's fun to play with your numbers too) Good luck!
