Burning Feet While Exercising

So ever since I was in me teens my feet would burn while running. So now that I've had a baby I'm wanting to get into better shape than before, but I can't for to long before I get a burning feeling in my feet. It's not the skin it's my whole foot. I've tired more breathable fabrics in my socks and shoes, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what's going on??
CLARIFICATION: The burning is similar to when you are outside in the cold and then go inside and your fingers burn. It's like that, but 10 times worse. Also I've tried thin socks designed for exercising, and running shoes made out of mesh fabrics.

What can I do next?

I had an issue with a similar sensation, just terrible feeling in my feet on runs anymore than 3 miles...
turns out my shoes were laced too tight! Which I had to visit a running store to figure out. They were great tho' helping me figure out the best way to lace my shoes specific to my feet.

I have had the same problem but I speed walk rather than run. I found that the way the shoes are laced and tied (and yes too tight was a big issue) as well as the size of the toe area contributed big time. If necessary, go to a store specifically for shoes, if only to talk to someone about how you use them and how to properly lace them for your activity. This should be an athletic store not Payless or some other family shoe store.

I always get a 1/2 size bigger in my running shoe because my feet swell so much when i run. i was always losing toenails befor i figured that one out:)
i also agree with making sure you are not lacing too tight. also check to make sure its not an orthodic issue like whether or not you over pronate or something. get your stride analyzed at a running store like Get Fit in alpine or the salt lake running co, or 26.2 in American Fork.

Sometimes my feet feel that way when it's time for new shoes. When my shoes start to break down, my arches do have a burning sensation and it really hurts! Also if you have high arches but your shoe isn't supportive enough in that area, that can cause your feet to burn too. It's a good idea to go to a shoe store where they have some expertise and can watch the way you walk/run in order to recommend the best kind of shoe for you. Also make sure you are buying the correct size. I discovered that my feet felt much better when I went up a half size from my usual shoe size. Good luck, I hope you find a solution!

You said you tried more breathable fabrics but were they specifically meant for running? Cotton is breathable but not breathable enough for some so there are other matrials that are better.

From a quick search it looks like you will have to do a lot of trial and error to figure out what will work best for you. I have the opposite happen, cold feet all the time even when running... but have found heating pads on my feat are retraining my body to send more blood to me feet to keep the warm.
