I have my daughters 1st birthday coming up and was wondering if any of you moms have any caterer's that you recommend? We have a large invite list and am thinking catering may be the way to go. Any good places?

I recommend Dave's in Mount Prospect.
Always Very good!
He's got a small shop in downtown Mt. P. on Prospect Ave.
Good luck!

I recently used a co-worker, Holly and the food and prices were fablous! It was for a wedding shower and I had a few people ask for her recipies!
____@____.com is her contact info. I can't remember the name of her catering business, but she could get that to you. Good luck!

I would highly recommend Moretti's for catering. Call Michelle Henry with Moretti's - they have the most amazing food. Everyone will ask where the food came from. Her phone number is ###-###-####. They have multiple locations to help you. Tell her M. Hay recommended you.

It's not a caterer, but we had my son's first birthday party at Rainforest Cafe in Schaumburg. The place was good for adults and babies -- lots to look at, fun atmosphere, reasonably priced food, no cleanup! I'd do two things differently: 1) I would have it in a quieter room (we got the "Rain Room" and every 10 minutes, we'd get "thunder and lightening" -- thank goodness no babies were sensitive to light and noise!), and 2) I would reserve an extra table/space to stow the cake, bags, gifts, etc. (we ended up being pretty crowded with leftover decorations, gifts, strollers, etc.).

Have a fun time!
