Cookie Press Recommendation Needed

Does anyone have a great cookie press that they would recommend? I had a cheap battery operated Wilton one for the past two years (It was a hand me down, so I don't even know what model it was). I would rate it as "fair" and it ate batteries like crazy - last year I went thru 4 sets in one 5 hour cooking session. I think there are better Wilton ones out there, but I have no idea if there are other brands that are better. Cookie season is about to begin and I have to get going! Thanks for your help

So What Happened?

I made my first batch with my new Pampered Chef cookie press and I LOVE IT! It is so much easier to use (even though it is manual) than my battery operated one. Thanks for the recommendations!
Now, does anyone have any good recipes to use for it, besides the typical "spritz" cookies? Please share!

Hi J.,
I love the Pampered Chef one, it clicks each time you pull the handle so you know exactly how many clicks you like to get the correct thickness of the cookie. It comes with 16 different plates to press cookies. It even comes with a good cookie recipe and is easy to clean. If you're interested I sell P.C. and can order one for you or you can order off my website: www.pamperedchef.biz/cookwithbelinda

I have the Pampered Chef cookie press, and I love it. Even my husband will use it to make cookies every once in a while. I have had it for many years, and it is still good as new.

I've used my Pampered Chef cookie press for >years<! It doesn't get much use during most of the year but I use it 4-5 days a week October-January. It's held up very well - very durable. Very easy to use. If something does ever break on it (hasn't happened yet and it's been over 8 years) I know it's very easy and quick to get replacement parts from their excellent customer service.

Not battery operated, but I know Pampered Chef makes one. They sell online, or if you send me a message, I can give you the name of a sales rep.
I grew up with one from (I think) Nordic Ware that my mom still uses. Since I'm 51, that makes it pretty sturdy ;-) It is all metal, no plastic parts.

I also have the Wilton one, and like you said it eats batteries. I'll never buy another battery opperated one again. My mom had an old hand crank one that was not so easy to use, but much less complicated and actually worked!

I have a Wilton one that is a cookie press that is NOT battery operated. You just turn/twist the knob. I've had it for years and works as well now as it ever did. SKIP the battery operated stuff!! Not worth the hassle!

I bought one from Williams-Sonoma several years ago and I love it. It's manual but it's really easy to use.

I love my press from Williams-Sonoma! Compared to my sister's Wilton (non-battery) one, this one is definitely better. My press is a few years old, and I noticed their website is offering a different model (so I don't know how that one fares), but my model is like the one found on ebay:

And NO, I am not in any way affiliated with this auction! Just wanted to let you know what press I love!
Happy cookie making!
