Mamas & Papas-

This morning, hubs brought DS to my bedside and prompted him to sing "frere jaques" (at the top of his lungs). That's one compelling wake up. What woke you this morning?

Best,
F. B.

Too funny!

I remember one time of my 20 month old sleeping in our bed..well, trying to get him to sleep. Everything was quiet and he pops up and sings, Jimmy Cracked Corn and I don't care, at the top of his lungs, LOL!

I just wake up, these days. 6:45-7 am.

I did wake up my oldest on his 8th birthday with the Lite Brite spelling out Happy Birthday in his dark room. He was very pleased.

How sweet, your husband! I sorta woke up with that feeling of 'it's almost seven' (which is bueno sleep-in time around here). Now a cup of tea is helping me *completely* wake up. Kiddo's still sleeping, though, which is a gift. We let him stay up with us until 9, watching a documentary on amusement parks and roller coasters and I guess it just tuckered him out!

My kiddo tapped me on the shoulder & said, "mommy, I tinkle." When I asked where, he replied, "secret." Wonderful wake up. :-)

That's adorable!

My usual wake-up is either a cat jumping up on my chest or my doggy coming in my room. I'll hear him coming so I'll pretend to still be asleep; he'll stand and stare at me and wag his tail real hard so it hits the wall and makes a pounding sound. Then I'll open my eyes and he licks my face. I have no choice but to get up and let him out! lol!

Fun question!

My kids haven't awakened me for a long time.

But I remember back when my eldest was an infant...being awakened by the sounds of him cooing in his crib. Brings a smile to my face even now.

Today was a pretty amazing morning. NOTHING woke me up! DS spent the night with grandma for the first time. I slept until 9:40. Utter bliss!

ETA: I normally wake up to my 2 year old singing his ABC's, and then after awhile calling "Mommy, time to get me up!!!" from his crib. I love how the babies all wake up so happy! I wonder when that stops, I can't recall ever waking up so chipper.

My 10 month old baby in his crib making happy baby noises. That was about 7:30. And of course after he had woken me crying at 12;30, 2:30 and 4:30 am!

How they can wake in a good mood is beyond my very tired brains comprehension. But it is wonderful to wake up to my son's smiling happy face.

So cute, I love that.

At midnight my pager woke me up to alert me for an EMS call.

At 5:45 I woke myself up with the groggy recognition that there was no way I'd make it to my exercise class on time, and I'd only had 5 hours of sleep.

I still got half an hour of exercise in. And now I have a good excuse for making zero sense all day ;)

Woke up in my own bed crammed between one daughter with separation anxiety and her twin sister. I have no idea when they joined me or if it was even at the same time. I was trapped. Couldn't move a bit. Stuck on my side, wedged between two 5 yr olds, one with her hand in my hair, the other with her leg and arm across me. Great. I woke because I needed to roll over, badly!
I opened my eyes and Tori opened hers, looked each other in the eye for a few seconds, then she says, "Is it time to get up?".

Awe! Too cute.

Well, my little angel and her newfound bed freedom has been waking me up for the past month straight.

We're teaching her that when the clock says 7 it's OK to wake us up.

So, this morning it was "hey, momma is it 7 yet? You can sleep with my froggy."
