I have a 16 month old daughter and a 3 year old son and we are moving to Orlando, near UCF, next week from MN. I will have 2 days to find a daycare center for them near UCF/Siemens. Any recommendations for the area? I would prefer to have them attend the same center if possible.

What can I do next?

Thank you for the suggestions. Our children have been going to Kids R Kids in Oviedo and they love it!

Both of my children went to KinderCare about 5 miles from UCF in Oviedo. They are both school age now but a friend that works at Siemens also sends her daughter there and loves it. I think they even give a discount for Siemens employees.

Good Morning C.,

If you are looking for a daycare facility, Downey Christian Preschool is wonderful. Last I heard, they did have a class for toddlers. When my oldest daughter attended there (years ago) by the age of 3 1/2 to 4 years old, she was reading and loved to learn and play with the other children. They are located on E Colonial Drive (also known as Hwy 50) near Dean Road across from Downey Park. The lady that runs this facility is wonderful, her name is Mrs. Dees, their website is http://dcspreschool.org/

Good Luck,

J. W

I just went back to work and was talking to a co-worker about childcare and he said that he sent his kids to a daycare at UCF. This was a few years ago so I don't know if they're still open. I looked on their website and found this page...

One thing though, they list "First Friends" as a daycare in the area. Whatever you do, DON'T SEND THEM TO FIRST FRIENDS. I had my daughter enrolled there for when I went back to work and I only sent her one day. It's a long story, but after I pulled her out for "security and safety reasons" I found out that they had recently had 2 young kids get out of the center and were found walking around in the parking lot of the shopping center! That place is very unsafe and the teachers are not all that friendly.
I send my DD to "Monarch Childrens Academy" but it's further down Alafaya in the other direction from Siemens. You may also want to consider the Page School. I've heard wonderful things about that place, but it's too pricey for me.
