Any ideas of what to bring? I have glow sticks and those spinning lighted up things. DO NOT want to have to buy more stuff if I can avoid it. We will get popcorn (his favorite) and he'll be dressed in some sort of Mickey stuff including his ears. Hopefully he'll eat a decent dinner that I only need to bring Hershey Kisses and a sippy cup of juice with.
Tonight is all mommy and son time. I have to leave at 4:30am to fly to AZ for a funeral so this outing will be fun to have him ALL to myself.
We'll be bundled up. It's well below freezing here, in fact I'm hoping to cover my son up with a big blanket for the stroller ride in.
My sister just saw the show on the east coast and it seems princess costumes were quite popular for the little girl set. Have a great time.
That should do it. Sneak in snacks if you can, too. Those also cost a fortune.
Be prepared for a huge parking fee. Disney charged $20 per car when we went to their show last year.
I took my daughter a couple years ago--it will be great. It is obviously very family friendly and casual. Depending where the seats are, you can get up close at the end and shake hands. Lots of kids bought some (overly-priced) souvenir that came with a fake rose that they could give to their favorite character (usually it was the girls giving it to princesses). I was thinking about taking my girls (6-1/2 and almost 2-1/2) but I'd have to go by myself with them and that's a challenge. A MUST is to go potty/diaper change before the show starts and at intermission. Establish your souvenir rules early--it's pricey! I would dress him in easy layers--turtle neck w/ t-shirt over, regular winter jacket and then bring a lighter jacket--it's cold inside b/c of the ice (duh) but you don't want to be too hot. I am jealous and may change my mind at the last minute!!!
Sounds like you have it under control. Their souvies are crazily priced. I sometimes stop at the dollar store and buy theater candy too. Glow sticks from the dollar store are a great idea. It gives them something to do when they are bored. Last year I think I spent $8.00 on a lemonade and a cotton candy with a crown was over $10.00.
depending on where it is when we went it was 8 dollars to park, um if you have a kid with a diaper bag put small snacks in there too. when we went they had a "woody meal" which was a hot dog, a bag of chips, and a kids drink for 6 dollars which really is not bad its about 2 hours long with intermission so if you need to bring a comfort item of theirs
CASH ... and try to remember that nothing about Disney is cheap, so just have fun!
Definitely try to bring snacks, but depending on the location, some places look through your bag on entry.
A jacket! Last time we went we were freezing.
Also, they have cutouts around the walk area where you can have your pic taken with the characters. They were like $10+
