Don't have long to type but my daughter and I went the 2 week of August. Flew round trip from Texas. Stayed 10 days 9 nights. Stayed on the resort. With food and 10 day park hopper pass and we only paid $1,000 for everything.

Go to these sites:
www.mousesavers.com sign up for their newsletters. it is the best deal finder.
www.allearsnet.com
get the book The unofficial travel guide to Walt Diseny World with kids. (i didn't want to pay the $20 so I rented it from the library)
www.disboards.com

You will find all the deals there.

I have just come back from disnet world, FL. We only visited one park Magic kingdom since my baby is 20 month old . We stayed near Universal studios. If you want to avod the crowds go before the holidays is possible.
The line for th erides cd be very long sometimes.
We took air and hotel deal thru expedia. As for park tickets we saw some kiosks near our hotel selling very cheap tickets.
You are planning to go to disney only or Universal and sea world too ?
If you go befor eholidays or just after holidays you can cover all 4 walt disney parks in 4 days but during holiday season you might need 5-6 days.
Enjoy !!!

We are going in a month with a 9y, 7y, and a 3 1/2 y. We are going in June. Preferably, I would go in March/April during Spring Break.

We will be staying at the Polynesian Resort - I didn't make the arrangements, but for your ages, I would probably do the Boardwalk Villas or Wilderness Lodge.

My family owns a condo in Orlando, so I've pretty much gone to Disney every year since I was 6 or 7. In March was the first time we took our son to FL (he was 14 months at the time). We went to Sea World, Universal Studios Islands of Adventures and Magic Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is obviously geared to younger kids, so your 13 yr old might not enjoy it too much (though when I was in college, a bunch of us went to Magic Kingdom and had a blast). Sea World was great for the little one, but is really great for all ages too. Same with Islands of Adventures. They have Dr Suess land which is perfect for younger babies, but also other areas that the other kids could have a great time with.

We looked at our options and the Park Hopper wasn't really worth the cost, but if you're going to all the parks, it's a definite plus (we didn't find a lot that our little one could do in MGM or Epcot...).

Since we have the condo, we don't stay in hotels, but I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to stay outside of the parks, and I know that the Hilton on International Drive in Orlando has shuttles to and from some of the parks for free, which is a great plus.

We went for a week and I think that was the perfect amount of time. I wouldn't want to go any longer and you really need one day per park you are going to, plus it's nice to have a day or two just by the pool relaxing.

Good Luck!!

Good luck!

check out disboards.com for great message boards.
Staying on property is the easiest to do. I would try to stay away from july/august because it is HOT!! but if you are used to that weatehr, it may not be so bad!

Call disney, they have good deals and free meal plans from aug-oct
you can stay at the vacation villas that have 2 BR, also get the park hopper!!

and make dinner reservations early!

I have been to disney about 20 times, so if you want to PM me for specific info I would be happy to help!

I just brought my three ages 6,3,2.
It was crazy but fun. We rented a house so we had our own pool and jacuzzi, it was a blast.

We did 8 days, we did not get disney package cause we got a house but did do a hopper pass and did sea world and universal. Definetely bring stroller or buy one for younger two! Good luck!

As far as time of year, it is crazy busy on the holidays... Christmas and Thanksgiving particularly. We've always found the weekdays during the late fall and in early December are good (In December, the Christmas lights are already up at Disney Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) and they are phenomenal!). Also Jan & Feb tend to be quieter, pre spring break, but a little cooler for weather. These might be tough with a school aged child, though. We are Florida residents, so we have flexibility in that way.

Staying on property is great, and you avoid the parking fees... however, if you book far enough in advance, you can probably get a condo with full kitchen facilities off property for a great rate. You can go grocery shopping and save a ton of money by packing sandwiches for lunch... Disney will allow a small cooler.

The younger 2 children would like Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom best, I think, though Epcot recently put in a new play area for the little kids, and we found the seeing the characters there was SO much easier than at MK.

It is tough to spend the whole day at the park for the little ones. If you get a hopper, you could go to one park in the am, come back and relax, and then go to another in the evening. The parks all have child care centers, which are a great place.. quiet, cool... to feed and change the baby and just take a breather if you do decide to try to spend the entire day.

Have fun!

stay in one of the hotels on the monorail if you can - especially with an 18 mo old - that way if you need to go back to the room from magic kingdom or epcot, you can get on the monorail, otherwise you have to wait for a bus. only 3 hotels are connected by the monorail to epcot and magic kingdom and that would be polynesian, grand floridian and contemporary. we have stayed everytime at polynesian. it is nice and it has 2 pools, great restaurants and a great view from their beach of the nightly fireworks show at magic kingdom. also - there is a water parade at night only visible to those hotels. its nice to go in the fall - like oct - before the holidays. get a towncar to pick you up from the airport, especially if you will have a car seat - otherwise you have to rent a car or take the disney bus. if you plan to just go to disney - you really dont need to rent a car. you can get everywhere by bus or monorail. if you want more info - email me. have fun!
