Hi All,
Once a year I buy myself a present. Last year it was a good quality pair of boots. This year, I'd like to have a time piece. It's all very symbolic (and blah, blah, blah ;-). Ideally, this watch will be with me for a long time.

Anyway, I don't know much about watches. Want to help me out? Tell me which is the best quality? Weigh in about which you find most pleasing to look at?

Here are the watches I'm looking at.

I like #2's looks. And I know Bulova is a well made watch.....

Since my watches NEVER last long--even when I did buy decent ones...my watch philosophy is buy O. at KMart for $9.99, wear it til it breaks 4 months later, then get another for $9.99! LOL

I tend to buy silver (looking!) watches.

I would not purchase a watch online. I just don't think I can get a feel for the true quality of the watch.

That said, I wear a solid gold Ladies Presidential Rolex. It is a classic style. I've had it at least 15 yrs, never an issue, full warranty for any issue and fully insured. I think I've only taken it back once to have a couple of links removed so it would fit tighter on my small wrist.

My go to watch brands are Seiko and Citizen. I've had and worn both for years. My seiko lasted for about 8 years, before something broke and it would have been more costly to repair than just to replace. Had this Citizen now for over 2 years and it still keeps perfect time and looks great.

I went with the eco-drive this time around, and it is great. NEVER needs a battery. Husband also has an Ecodrive and he loves his as well.

Have you considered something like this: (since you seem to like the square/rectangle face)

My sister got an Invicta watch when she began her nursing career. That thing is practically indestructible.

I personally like the brand Storm. Their watches are interesting.

Go with choice # 3
It has the highest number of reviews (and very high rating) and will last the longest as it is all metal (vs. the other two with leather band). Also, it looks the nicest I think.

If you are rally wanting a watch that will be with you for a long time avoid leather bands. I recommend instead of doing this kind of shopping online go to a quality jewelry store and try some on. dont know what your looking to spend but if nothing else you can determine what design suits your style best. I own a fossil and a timex that i have had for about 10 years (since high school) both still in great shape only basic maintenace has been done to them (cleaning and new batteries)
