Dreams... I've Been Having Strange Ones... Curious About Yours.

I've been dreaming about traveling and/or moving and my Grandmother that has passed (2yrs ago in Dec) is in them, alive and well. I keep thinking to myself while in this dream, 'How can she be here?' It kind of saddens me because her and I were always close and I miss her like crazy. This is the first time I've ever dreamt about someone that has passed (other than it being the person that's passed saying goodbye to me- and I have a theory for that) and in my dream being like nothing ever happened.

Have you ever had dreams like this?

What is your theory or thought about this?

What can I do next?

My step-mother passed away about 2 1/2 years ago from breast cancer, she was only 50. Several things happened after she died. The day that she died, I was out walking with my husband and my daughter and up ahead on the street we saw something shining very brightly, the sun was reflecting off of it and you couldn't miss it. When we got closer, I saw that it was a small medallion of St. Mary just lying there in the middle of the street. My step-mothers name was Marybeth. About a week or so later, I had a dream so vivid and it sounds very cliche and typical, but my step-mother was just standing there with this bright white light surrounding her. Her hair was growing in in L. tufts and she had a few bandages on her chest (she was extremely bruised on her chest when she was alive, most of her skin was a horrible purple color), but she looked so healthy. The only thing she said to me was "Jen, I feel great. I am doing so well." The next one came several months later when my husband and I were going to Ocean City, MD (where she and my dad went every year and my husband and I would also go). I told my dad and he pouted and was so upset, it was kind of silly, like I can't go on vacation! My first day there, he called me almost 10 times!! I guess he was just so upset because it brought back memories for him. That night, I had another dream about my step-mother and all she said to me was "Jen, he is being ridiculous! Tell him to grow up!". My step-mother was very straight forward and would say whatever was on her mind. We didn't have that great of a relationship, but I figured that she could communicate with me because my mind wasn't so blocked with grief like my dads or my step-sister's was. I truly believe that she was talking to me and wanted me to tell my dad. I haven't dreamt about her in a long time, but I believe that your grandmother is letting you know she is doing well. Don't let it sadden you, be happy that she is happy and well and that she obviously loves you.

My dad passed away Jan 09, and since then I have had a few dreams with him in them. I too think, "how can he be here"? It sort of makes the dream eerie, but he has always looked well so I just figured he was paying me a visit. =)

My b/f's father passed away almost 2 years ago. Scary thing is that a week or so before he passed I had a dream about me & my b/f's weeding. In the dream my soon to be Father in law walked me down the isle. It was an amazing dream but really makes me sad to think about it now.

Ps. My father is a horrid person. And I was really close to my b/fs dad.
I actually have dreams about my "FIL" every once in a while. In the most recent I had a dream that he wasn't dead, but was just gone for a really long time. In the dream I saw him, ran to him, hugged him very tightly and cried my eyes out.

I don't know what I believe is the reason for dreams like this. Sometimes its a good thing, because it's kinda like seeing them again. Being reminded of how great they were. Others its pretty upsetting because you wake up a realize that they are really gone.

It's because your subconscious mind is thinking about your grandmother. You may have gone somewhere and ignited a memory and it repeats in your dream. I dream about my father last two nights ago and even my grandfather. If your dream was pleasant, that's a good thing. If you were disturbed, quite likely your spirit has encountered something or someone that it should not and has probably had to fight with. Anxiety and stress seem to cause us to dream more as well.

There's a school of thought that says that travel and movement signify growth. Is the mode of transportation always the same? If so, what is it? Where are you going in the dream? Aside from the sadness on waking, what is your feeling in the dream about the move or journey? I think something is happening or about to happen in your life, and your grandma is either there as your guide or as reassurance that everything will be fine.

I keep a dream journal and jot down details of significant dreams that I have. Sometimes the dreams prove prophetic but not as obviously as what's in the dream.

i always thought
dreaming about moving meant changes are about to happen. my dreams are real, vivid, and usually tell me what's about to happen.
like a month or so ago i dreamt about feeding one of my girls water with spoon. i knew it was her but didn't see her face clearly in the dream. i was just spoonfeeding her water, two days later she developed a fever. so, if i were psychic, i would have knows two days earlier that i was nursing her from a cold.
