sears & kohls.....I ONLY buy off the clearance racks
I am so proud of my Mom. She is trying to redefine her look to be more updated, more hip and not so "senior citizen". She's only in her sixties, still works and doesn't want to "look" old. Over the past year she's gotten a new, cute hairstyle, a makeover and is taking care to treat herself to massages and manicures - which she deserves. She's spent her whole life spending money on us kids - now it's her turn!
She asked for my help finding some nice plus sized clothes. She is falling into this "senior citizen's" rut of the Granimal style clothes (where the top has the same print as the shorts/pants), ugly orthopedic shoes, etc. or the oversized look with drapy, flowing clothes that do nothing for her. I completely understand that she wants to be comfortable and doesn't want to pay expensive prices for jeans, but her jeans and shirts right now are too tight, too short and just not attractive.
Please help with your suggestion on where to shop, brands or designers to look for without spending a TON. She is really into good, quality clothes and I am trying to help her find something that is wash n wear - no ironing!!! Is is best to go to the deparment stores or a specialty store?
Thanks for your suggestions.

We buy from Kohl's, Lane Bryant, Catherine's and from the Just My Size catalog for my MIL.
Try Avenue, Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug. They have pretty good prices and you can browse online to see if you like their styles and prices (or to buy too).
HTH!
Buy clearance clothes at Kohls, Jcpenny and Lane Bryant.
Katherine's is really good and reasonable priced, that is where my MIL shops usually.
