Finding Inexpensive Stickers for Reward Chart

I am trying to use sticker charts for my 27 month old with some success. I had a pretty big supply of stickers, but of course, you have to have interesting stickers to make it worth her while. I have looked at the grocery store, Target, kids stores and haven't found a big selection. And what I have found is a lot of short sheets of high-priced stickers. I did use some coupons at Joann's, but those are all scrapbook quality and also pricey. Any recommendations?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Wow, thanks for the responses. We are going to head out to the dollar store and Lakeshore. And maybe to Staples to make some homemade ones too. Thank you!

Hi, I am a teacher and I buy stickers through www.orientaltrading.com. They also have great little reward toys, and great birthday party stuffers. Other wise I would suggest a teaching store also.

My 2 year old loves the adress labels that I get in the mail. I think I get like a packet a week asking for some kind of donation. Most of them come with cute pictures. Just cut off the address part and you can use the pictures. They spend the money to send us the labels we might as well put them to use.

You might try a learning center. They are places where teachers go to buy supplies. I think that they are actually called that. I know that there is on on Tatum and Bell in Scottsdale, but I am sure they are all over. They are open to the public. You don't have to be a teacher to shop there.

No one suggested it below, but I would also try Walgreens. They have huge books of stickers for only $1 as well.

Everything's a Dollar, baby! They have a teacher's section with little stickers, and a section with just stickers. Good stuff for little moolah!

Try the teacher stores - like Learning Is Fun or Lakeshore Learning or just do a search on line for teacher supply store. They usually have less expensive stickers by the bulk.

Can you make up your own stickers on your computer and print them on blank labels? This way you can make special personalized stickers or gear them to what your child is doing, without having stickers that don't apply. You can get pictures from clip art files or just use interesting type-styles. I've done this and usually get the blank labels at Sam's or Cosco, but their quantity packages might be too expensive. If you can find a small package of the "generic" labels at Office Max, that might work too. Labels come in different shapes and sizes and most software programs have templates for them.
Good luck, and have fun,

Staples has a teacher's supply section with a lot of stickers and there's GREAT teacher supply store at 51st avenue and Bell Road (I think it's called teaching Tools-it's on the South East corner) They have so much great stuff! I go crazy in there! And it's very reasonable. I love charts for kids! I have 3 and sometimes they like stickers more than allowance! :) Good luck!

Check out your local Dollar store. I have stocked up on great Mickey and Pooh stickers for my daughter. They have several packs of 100 shiny character stickers for only $1.00. There are also lots of other fun things at the Dollar store.
