Frozen pies are better than non frozen pies! One year we had a LOT of apples, after we had made PLENTY of sauce and butter and anything else we could find a recipe for, we started on pies. We made about 15 pies, but didn't have anyone to give them to so we froze about 10 on the uncooked pies and baked them later. The frozen pies were SO much better than the others, and it was the same batch of filling and crust, so it had to be the freezing that made them so good :) Now we always freeze the pies before baking, if time permits.
