Gathering Interest for Bible Study Class

Hi!
I'm looking for some Christian moms who are interested in forming a bible study group. I'm not a bible study teacher, but I think I can do it. I love Beth Moore, so any of her studies would be good. I also would love to do a specific book, like Romans. With the kids out for summer, I was thinking we could meet at a park in the morning and study while the kids play on the playground. It could be weekly or monthly. Please let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hello Ladies,

I had several responses to my idea. That's great! I'm so excited. We will all surely be blessed with this study.

I've been looking for an interesting and inexpensive bible study and I have few ideas. Some of you have given some good suggestions and it sounds like we will have to take a vote. Please make sure I have your email address so we can all take a vote. I will email all of you soon with more details. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at my email below. Thanks.

I would possibly be interested. Do you attend a church here in Arlington? My family and i just joined up with Arlington Presbyterian, but at this point they don't really have a women's study that would work for me. My only issue would be my youngest (she's 15 mos.), but I could probably keep her pretty entertained in her stroller watching the other kids. Let me know if there is any other interests and if you get something going. Good idea!

Possibly interested. I would LOVE to do a Beth Moore study, my only hesitation is that my daughter is only 13 months old and requires constant supervision.

I would love to join you for a bible study. My kids are small but a park would be great for my 2 1/2 year old. I would think weekly...just a thought. Let me know.

I would definitely be interested in this if you get it going. I have never heard of Beth Moore. I am just getting back into church (after a 14 year hiatus) and would love to do this as it would help with two needs: bible study and meeting other moms.

Keep me updated! ____@____.com.

I would love to do this and I think it would be a wonderful example for your daughters to see you doing this. I would prefer to meet in the morning EARLY before it gets hot (like, 8:30am or 9:00am - that way we have plenty of time to talk before we melt!) I am a pretty conservative Lutheran person, so I'd prefer doing a bible study, like on Romans. Topic studies are okay and make for good discussion but I am afraid that with women of different religious bodies, there will just be a lot of "Well, I think this" and "my church teaches that" and we won't really get to study the bible. That's just my opinion. I do hope you get this started and I would love to attend. You can contact me here. Thanks! G. OH, ps I have 4 kids, ages 8, 7, 5, and 8 months.
