We are new to the area and are looking for a general dentist. There seem to be plenty to choose from around here but wanted to know if anyone had any they particularly liked.

the dental team on 4949 Irving park a Dr. Larry Cohen is really good and patient with kids and he does well with adults too...
1st dentist my children experience and he did a really great job of helping them with any fears and anxieties...

My children and I go to Dr. Spiliopoulos. He is on Montrose about a block east of Central. His # is ###-###-####. They have Saturday appointments and he is wonderful. I was seen by a different Dentist that told me I had a bad gum infection and I went to see Dr. Spiliopoulos and he saw no infection. He is very honest and only performs work that needs to be done. Our dentist is Dr. Richard Merrick and he located on Milwaukee Avenue near Elston. We have been going to him for about 20 years and he took care of both our sons who are now 28 and 25. He also has Saturday hours. His number is ###-###-####. He has always been good with the boys and we now take my elderly mother-in-law to him also (and she can be a handful!)and he is very patient with her.
We have lived in Portage park for 17 years and are very pleased with Drs Katherine Lauterbach & Susan Torma for over 22 years. They are out of the neighborhood but we trust them with all our dental needs from my 100 year old grandma to our 3 kids. 1642 W Belmont ###-###-####
Dr. Patrick Cross is wonderful! He's a family dentist who also works with orthodontics. The thing I love about him is he's a dad of 8 who takes off days like Columbus Day to spend time with his kids! He has a terrific personality and a great guy. I've been very impressed with his work.
He also has Saturday hours and is open late one night a week (Tuesdays, I think). He's located on Montrose just east of Austin.

My dentist is a little east of Jefferson Park, but I think you would like him. F. Robert Wilkin at 2335 W. Foster, ###-###-####. I've gone to him for at least 20 years with both my sons since they were 6 and 3 respectively-they are now 25 and 22. He does everything himself-X rays, cleanings, etc. It is a small office. His assistant Vicky has been there all that time-I probably met her in 1987 or so at the advice of my babysitter when the former dentist who retired was there. They have hours starting around 8 AM and are there on Saturdays as well. By all means please tell them I recommended you. I don't know which insurance they take-they have always used mine. Good luck!

I love my dentist -- Dr. Mary Jo Filippini (4228 North Central, Chicago, IL 60634 ###-###-####). I've been going to her for over 15 years, and now my husband goes there too. She practices with her younger brother Dr. Mike Filippini. Their late father was also a dentist who practiced there.
