Hi S..
I am the other mom that posted that request. It's too bad you cant get yours off. I would call your ob to find out who can do it. Good luck!
Hi, Moms! Recently, another mom posted a question about how to get her wedding ring off her without getting it cut off. Well, I tried almost all of the suggestions, and I still cannot get my wedding ring off! I just want to get a different band now that we can afford a slightly nicer one. Does anyone know where I can go to have it removed?

Hi bStella
When I got pregnant my fingers swelled like crazy and I could not get my ring off. I tried every method I could find and nothing worked. I finally went to the jewlery store where I got the ring (Jan Dee Jewlers in Chicago on Diversy near Racine) and they cut it off for me. Before going in there I felt so stupid and fat (thank you pregnancy hormones!) and the ladies at Jan Dee were very sweet and reassuring that this happens all the time. They had me hold on to the ring until my daughter was born and I felt like my hands had returned to nornal size. They then fixed the ring and now it looks better than new. Basically, the point of my story is that I think any jeweler can cut it off. They have a tool for it, my finger was never in danger of being cut and it only took a minute. Good luck and enjoy your snazzy new jewelery!
A few years ago, I had to take my grandmother to the emergency room because she broke her arm, as a result her hand was swollen and they cut off her wedding ring. Not sure if they would for u, but I know they can..
any jeweler should be able to do this for you
