Girls Jeans

Target has stretch jeans that come in slender, regular, and wide at the waist. The price is right too, somewhere around $14 and often on sale at $10. Justice has stretch jeans as well, but while we have looked at them we have never bought them. They are a lot more expensive although Justice has storewide 40% off right now and often, so don't ever buy at full price. Lands End has jeans with various waist sizes and also those elastics with buttons which my oldest had to wear at the widest setting and my youngest at the tightest. My now 14 year old likes JCPenney's small teen department for clothes - again they have huge sales so shop when they have their 30% off day and/or get their credit card which will also give you coupons in the mail. My youngest who is 11 hates jeans and still wears stretchy leggings and tunics or dresses with tights.

Another vote for Lands' End. Also, I used to find Sears had some good options.

Go to the gap or old navy and get her measurements and then while she's trying on girls/women's jeans go to the boy's/men section adn grab a few pair that fit her measurements and suggest she try them on (but don't tell her they're boy jeans -- if you thnk she'd care) and see if they aren't so clingy. We're both in the city -- so you don't want her wearing saggy jeans either but I can certainly understand you don't want her skin-tight, not age-appropriate clothing.

I would also recommend you try different stores. I don't know where you shop but it might be good to try to catch a sales at JC penney or Macy's and visit their misses section, rather than the junior's section (I don't know how thick she is).

My daughter (9) refuses to wear jeans. But, I would try JC Penney. They have a section with plus sizes for girls. My daughter falls between the regular sizes and plus sizes, so that's been a nice option depending on the style of the clothes.

JC Penney has a pretty good selection of girls plus (I think that's what it's called?) sizes.

Try Target but then try Old Navy.
Then if all else fails try the juniors dept of Macy's and look for them on sale.
I would have her try EVERYTHING.

I go to goodwill or savers. sometimes you can find what your looking for at places like that.

My 3, 5, and 7 yr old daughters don't tend to wear jeans, but when my seven year old does we go to target. I also use Target for my 9 and 12 yr old daughters. My 14 yr old like Abercrombie(she has to use her own money to go here) or Delia's.

My daughter is 10 and loves Old Navy Jeans! They run great sales too.

For actual baggy... you may need to hit a hip hop or dance store.

For just 'not spraypainted on', GAP has bootcut & classic (along with skinny, superskinny, etc.), adjustable waists, and plus sizing. http://www.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=6276

But for $5 you can snag some fabric paint and girlie up a pair of boy's jeans. Or just pair them with a girlie belt. Or spend a little more and add some rhinestones on the pocket or cuffs. Since no (straight) boy ever wears glittery, butterfly painted, jeweled jeans... no one would ever know they aren't girl jeans. AND with guy's jeans you get to go by waist and length. For years, that's all I ever bought; Tommy H's mens jeans in a 28/36.

Are you buying her plus sized jeans? Any brand of plus sized jeans should fit her appropriately no matter what the style. I don't think you should necessarily restrict her to baggy jeans.

Circo jeans from Target are a looser fit and only cost $9.99. I have a friend who buys plus sizes online from Gymboree.
