i'm from NM and i love the green chile! old town sante fe has a great feel to it. lots of places to shop and walk around and look at stuff. any of the restraunts down there are delicious. there is alot of cultural arts stuff to look at too. old town and the new part are great places to load up a stroller, grab a starbucks and enjoy the sights. there is a beautiful catholic church there and they have art exhibits on the street alot of times. if you have a chance to go hiking in the mountains the san dias mtns in albuquerque are beautiful and family friendly for hikes and picnics. gardunio's (i think thats how you spell it) is a great place for mexican food w/ a southwest smokey flavor. they are in albuquerque and i think santa fe too. oh and they have trader joes out there too! oh and don't forget what rachel ray says...just ask the locals!
