I have been taking my son to a kid friendly salon to get his hair cut but it is too expensive! I don't like paying $20 for my son's hair to be cut! I am looking for a barber or salon that is relatively inexpensive and deals well with kids. He always has his head shaved to a 1 on the back and sides and cut with shears on top. Easy! I am looking for something in the Mesquite area. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
Believe it or not we went to Walmart on I80/beltline. A little oriental lady did the exact same cut that you want. It came out great. $9.95. ANd we were there anyway.

We use Tony at Casa View Barber Shop at Gus Thomasson and Ferguson (next to Shipley's Donuts). He is great with the kids - my sons both have forms of autism and he is very, very patient.
try a local beauty school. cheaper.
The salon I use is not a barber but she is great with kids and has done my hair for years. It is Art hair (Bruton @ Beltline) ask for Kristy...you have to ask for her!!! She has MANY male clients. Also in downtown Garland there is a barber on Garland rd @ Main st that is very good. They are both pretty cheap ($10) I think...My son has the exact same cut as your son!!

Kristi, I have 4 kids, 13, 8, 4, and 3. My husband and I go to HAIRLINE on Gus Thompason and Town East. It is in the same shopping center as the Kroger and Citi Trends. There is also a GameStop and I think it is called Burke's?? Not sure, but it is $8.00 for a cut and they do a wonderful job. By kids love going there. All of the girls are great, but I prefer Sandy. There is another one that my oldest son likes, but I can not remember her name, she has dark med. length hair. I hope you can find something.

The barber I take my son to is in Rockwall. The lady that cuts his hair is absolutely wonderful! My son is 2 and he just adores her! I know its not mesquite but she only charges $9. The name of it is Lads Barber shop and her name is Tina. The number is ###-###-####. Shes there everyday except thursdays and fridays. Just let her know that Wyatt referred you...lol she knows who that is! Hope this helps!
My husband gets his hair cut at the procuts in mesquite -- the one on east glen by the sonic. He likes bertha (actually there are two berthas -- he likes the one that sits in the back right cornor. But he actually said the other one is okay and Ashley is good too (but she just had a baby so may not be back to work yet). Anyway, don't know how often they work on kids -- but my husband is picky and has the same sort of haircut as your son - so at least they should do a good job and they are cheap. Hope this helps.
