I found play-doh packs at Sam's for less than 10 bucks for about 60 little cans of play-doh. I'm pretty excited about it--hope the kids are too! I figured I'd get a bag of snickers or something for the older kids.
My place of employment is participating in a Halloween trick or treating event this coming Saturday. I am on the same budget for both this event and for Halloween night. I am looking for ideas for something to hand out (treats, activites, etc) - not something HUGE as there are a ton of businesses participating on Saturday and I'm not sure how many we'll get on Wednesday. Does anyone have any ideas for something that won't take a lot of work or money to put together but be somewhat classy?

Please avoid giving out candy that includes peanuts or nuts. Hershey's chocolate or a safe toy might be one idea. Bubbles or play dough perhaps.
Go to Sam's club and they have some cute things like playdough also they have mini popcorn bags that are cute.
Good luck with your trick or treat night!!
I think something other than candy is a good idea. I liked what Beth said; stickers, tattoos, ect.
My daughter(6) isn't that huge on candy but really likes things like tattoo's, stickers, pencils, buttons, balloon, things that she doesn't necessarily have to eat. And as a mom I appreciate them as well. Not that candy isn't fun it's just overwhelming sometimes.
You can buy things like this in bulk. I think oriental trading company sells party favors for cheap like this. You know the stickers doctor offices hand out stuff like that you've got to beable to purchase in bulk.
Party City has those cute decorated pencils for $.23 each (and I think some packs are even cheaper than that). Costco right now has the 80-pack of Play-Doh for $9.99. That one's nice because any that you don't get rid of, will either keep until your girls are old enough, or can be donated to places.
Not really sure what you're asking for, but thought I'd throw my .02 in. Whatever you do end up handing out, you may want to try to keep it peanut-free, if not nut-free. More and more people are becoming allergic to nuts, but especially peanuts...
