This site has THE WORST search engine. No way to make sense of it. I have typed in my own post with the exact title and not been able to find it.
Anytime I search for something on Mamapedia the results come up in random date order - 2008, 2011, 2009, etc. Does anyone know how, if possible, you can search a topic and have the results list from most recent to oldest?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Thanks for all your responses! I'm glad to hear it's not just me. Mamapedia is such a wonderful site that it's a shame the search engine isn't effective. It would help immensely.

As wonderful as this site is, the search feature is worse than useless.
If they can't/won't fix or improve it, they might as well just take it away.
As it is right now - no one would miss it.
Love:
The search engine for this site sucks - BIG TIME - it's been complained about before.
To the best of my knowledge it's not possible to sort or organize anything. The only thing this site separates is the flowers and messages...between sent and received....
There might as well not be a search engine on Mamapedia. Why the powers that be have not done anything to improve this site is beyond me. I love Mamapedia, but it is highly in need of some improvements!
No you can't as far as I can tell. I think it displays them in the order it thinks matches your question the most.
Yeah, um, the search feature on this site is almost unusable. That's why you see the same questions over and over. :-/
I have never figured out the search feature on this site. I was looking for something that had only been posted within the week one time and was trying to be lazy and not scroll through several pages to find it again so I used the search. Every single hit that came up for my search was from at least 3 years ago. Nothing new at all, especially not even the one I was specifically looking for. I ended having to scroll through several pages to find it after all.
I have no idea why they have a search feature if it never works.
