Suggestions on the best hotel to stay in if you were going to Universal Studios Hollywood. Best price and a nice place to stay.

Prefer it to include breakfast and shuttle.

Thanks!

I too am going to Ca to go to Disney and Universal and had no clue where to stay. I wanted to be closer to Disney and will drive to Universal for one day but what I usually do is type in my search engine-hotels close to universal hollywood and some will come up. Or use an Orbitz or Expedia service and I think you can check the shuttle box.

I haven't seen any good deals for that particular area recently so I settled on a Super 8 which is less than 2 miles away (my kids are older and should be able to walk it). Othereise, maybe we'll walk one day and drive another to save on parking.

Good luck!!!

They do have an internet deal going for two days for the price of one-just FYI.

We just booked our trip to Orlando and we're staying at Floridays! I know, the same sounds so goofy (we've been joking about it ever since we booked it!), but go ahead and google it. We're staying in a condo - 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, living area - for something like $160/night. It has a shuttle that goes to all the parks (I think? - I KNOW it goes to Universal and Sea World b/c that's where we're going so I checked). Breakfast is not included, but with a full kitchen we're just going to buy some groceries. Anyway, we have not stayed there yet, but it looks really nice!

I'm in Southern California and if I need to stay at Universal I always stay at the Sheraton. I'm not sure if you are looking for a shuttle from the airport (I have no idea) but it is super convenient.

Have you looked at Groupon? Ive seen a bunch of Orlando hotels recently that are family friendly (think pools with slides), shuttles and food plans. Don't forget to also look at Living Social, Amazon deals and others.

I see it on Groupon - It's for CoCo Key in Orlando - from $66 per night. If you don't see it put in a FL address and it will come up.

We're going in May and we'll also be staying at the Sheraton. Have never stayed there, but my brother has and says that it is nice.

Before you book your hotel ask a lot of questions. Last May I stayed at a Best Western in Madison WI and it was HORRIBLE. The pillows were small and square a little bigger than a regular couch pillow but really thick and hard. The mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. The rest of the place was decent but I go to a hotel to sleep so if the bed is not comfortable I don't care how nice the pool is.
