So What Happened?

well i guess i have to find norstroms in houston dont know where it is yet but will look that is what the majority is saying. i did see the show on how to find jeans that fit that you werer talking about that is kinda what got me thinking ok so i know what brand now how do i make them fit. . but i guess i am looking forward to a day of trying on jeans all day long :) there was a couple of brands mentioned i have never even heard of.as far as bees mom i wear rockies cause i like the buttons and the styles. whateverhappened 16 yr ago with a girl in rockies you seriously need to get therapy over. not all girls who wear rockies are tramps. i wear mine baggy so says i need a size 5 i wear size 9s and i wear baggie shirts so even if they were camel toes the extra large shirts that i wear that hit my thighs would cover it. I am 5'5" and 120 in size 9. in order for them to be camel toes they have to be tight. mine are baggy. but thanks for judging me on your issues of needing therapy for. you need to grow up and get on with your life no matter what happened 16 yrs ago. sorry but i like my 1994 jeans :) and telling me they are camel toes aint going to change that. now to find shirts i like. i think that will be my next question how to find shirts that arent tight in the arm puts dont fit down to my thighs and dont show my boobs :) thanks for the help guys

Ann Taylor Loft has a wide variety of fits and styles depending on what you like.

The only way to know is to go shopping and try on a ton of jeans. I have always hated shopping for jeans, so when I find some that I like I buy several pairs and keep them in my closet until I need them.

I'm short and have recently discovered Michael Khor's jeans and LOVE them! They are mid-rise so you don't feel like you're wearing "mom jeans", but nothing hangs out when you sit either! I also have a pair from Ann Taylor Loft that I really like and those are my "good jeans".

Just try them on and keep trying until you find the right ones!

Well, I used to wear rockies years ago also but my belly won't let me anymore!! no judging here. About 5 yrs ago, I bought a pair of jeans at Old Navy called Princess. They are stretch jeans but have found they stretch too much at times! lol But very comfortable for about a year.
I also watched the Nate show and plan to do some shopping! I have also heard Lane Bryant and Coldwater Creek are good places to find those "not my daughter's jeans".

Haha..I had to look up "rockies" since it is not a brand I have ever heard of. Girl, you can not be wearing your jeans "baggy". If you want to be comfortable then get a pair of black yoga pants. If you want jeans, I think the best look is either the Lee or Levi's slimming stretch lines. They are bootcut so they flatter most figures and are slimming since they have stretch in them. They sell them at Kohls. At first, they might feel too tight but they will loosen up as you wear them. Good job gor getting out of the jean rut.

A little pricey but try Kut from the Cloth jeans, Paige Jeans. Love 'em..I've had C-sections and have a hard time finding pants. These jeans fit just below the belly button...Don't hurt the crotch area but are stylish...no mommy style on these hips...LOL.

You need to find a store with effective sales people who know their product. This is easier said than done! ;) I used to wear Gap jeans and they are okay, but I would only go to Gap during the week day b/c if you go on the weekend I think you'll have a younger staff who might not be able to give you the time and attention you need. I swear by Lucky Brand jeans...they are awesome! The company recently went through some changes so I dont' know if the quality in jean and customer service is still as great as it was, but if you have a store near you, check it out. They are pricey, but for jeans that look good, I splurge a little. Like I said, the key is to find a salesperson who knows their product so they can give you what you want! Good luck!

I just bought some jeans from wal-mart the other day that I love! They are Lee Riders, but they are really modern looking. The material is thinner than most jeans and they are pretty stretchy. I think I could even do yoga in these jeans. They come in different lengths as well. They are a dark wash and come in different styles like boot cut, straight leg, and flare. I get the straight leg so they balance out my hips. Best part - they're not expensive, so even if you don't like them, you're not out much money ; )

Try stretch jeans. I have bought the Lee relaxed fit stretch jeans at Kohl's. Also have several pairs of stretch jeans from Target. Compared to regular jeans they fit soooo much more comfortably.

I agree with Nordstrom. I bought 2 pairs of JAG jeans there on sale 2 years ago for $50 per and am still wearing them. Love them! All I had to do was tell the associate what I wanted and next thing I knew she was helping to occupy my toddler while I tried on about 15 pairs of jeans. Then they also hemmed them for me. It was my first Nordstrom experience and I will always go back.

Set aside a whole day and go to Nordstrom! Try Paige or not your daughters jeans and ask to see other high rise and mid rise jeans. Try on everything the sales people hand you and you will leave with something great!

If you are willing to spend some money on one good pair of jeans, call up your local Nordstrom and have them pull some for you before you come. Tell them your concerns and they will have a "stylist" work with your personally, if I'm not mistaken. There's a brand called, Not Your Daughter's Jeans that are good. There's also a brand called Joe's that are really soft and comfy. None of these are cheap but if you really want to find something you like, do it if you can afford it. It's true, baggy jeans are not in style but you will be surprised at how comfortable some of these are. Lastly, if you are patient and have faith in your ability to choose your own pair, you can shop Nordstrom Rack for half the price. Although, there selection is hit or miss. You might have to go every week until you find something.

Well I started buying those 'stretch to fit' jeans. I bought mine at WalMart for like $15 more or less I think??? but they fit really good, I think they're Faded Glory brand but they have spandex or lycra, something stretchy in them but they say 'stretch fit' or something similar. Also, I've actually took someone's advice (an online stranger who just made a product critique) & bought some riding jeans...THESE ARE AWESOME!!! They are SUPER comfy & I wear them ALLLLLLL the time now. Nothing like regular jeans. Maybe you can check into them too. I got mine online at The Equestrian Corner & they're called Ladies Jaipur Polo Pants. I bought mine on clearance but I'm sure other websites have them if Eques. corner doesn't have your size & you can get some really reasonably priced for the type of jeans they are & they're so soft, they're almost as comfy as sweats. They usually have the usual 5 pockets (front & back), nice deeper pockets like they useta have in reg. jeans not like the 'shallow things' they have now they're calling pockets. My riding jeans are baggy like you mentioned, not tight like 'jodphurs' or 'riding pants' so they're actually something you can wear anywhere & come in a variety of colors. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

I agree about going to Nordstrom, also we have a store here in IL called Jean Therapy, they are AWESOME, you tell them what you're looking for and they are so helpful in getting you what you want. They also do alterations/hems. I used to buy all my jeans on the cheap and I ended up with a bunch of jeans that didn't fit me well, and a bunch of jeans I didn't like. Then, I realized spending a little more to get a great fitting pair of jeans was worth it. You should feel great about how you look every day! Good luck.

Lee Relaxed fit jeans are excellent and so are Lands End relaxed fit jeans.
Both are at the waist or slightly below so you don't sure the whole world your butt crack when you sit down. Which I hate!!!!
Lands End has a lot of diff. colors, too. Try them at home for an hour or so and return them if you don't like them. I hate making final jeans decisions at the store.
