So I washed my car Sunday, went inside to get towels to dry it, got distracted, went out an hour later and now I have water spots on all my windows!! Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

I use vinegar and paper towels for all windows for our cars and house. Works great for me! Just expect a bit of sweat equity.

They should come off if you wash them with glass cleaner and dry with a soft rag.

If not then make a glass cleaner with water -- vinegar and amonioa. Some people suggest baking soda because it adds grit to get off stubborn stains, but I have never tried it. Also if you combine baking soda and vinegar you will get foam. Anyway dry with a soft rag. I use water vinegar and amonioa in my windsheild washer container until the weather gets too cold and it may freeze. But it works great to get dead bugs and other dirt off the windshield.

I use old tee shirts for window rags and dusting they are soft and absorbant. Remove any buttons or snaps as they will scratch.

I just remembered, if you have an old shower puff (the net things) use that with plain water or glass cleaner and dry with a soft rag.

wash windows again but use alcohol the medicinal kind and single edge razor blade, spray the window generously with the alcohol then use razor blade to scrape off the water spots then dry as usual with a lint free cloth or viva paper towel. a professional house cleaner showed me once how to clean windows and polish them at the same time . You wipe the window in one direction say... right to left, then do the same up and down. The more elbow grease you use the more shine you create. Works wonders.

My husband, who details cars for a living, says you should get "heavy duty compound" (which you can get at Schucks) and a towel.

Window cleaner and paper towels. Newspaper if you really want it to shine.
