Send an email thank you right away. You can follow it up with the paper one if you choose. The majority of hiring managers prefer an email to paper.

So, I had two interviews (same company) last week and totally forgot to send a thank you until today. I will send it out right away, but had a question about the stamp to use. (The thank you note is hand written along with envelope). This is a very small laid back engineering company.
On to my question....I only have the new Pixar stamps....can I use one of these or should I get a 'real' stamp??
Thanks everyone....I ended up getting a regular one because the office is so small that the owner would open it. I still don't want to send an email.....it will be there in 1 day and I was the only one interviewing.....actually there wasn't even a position open...I just expressed interest in the company and they are busy so are considering hiring.... We'll see how it goes.,,,it's in the mail!

Get a real stamp. Save the Pixar for fun people, not associated with a job.
If there is a stamp that touts something that engineers have done, that would be good!
Amazing how someone will throw barbs at our President in your question about a stamp, for crying out loud.
Dawn
eh, I think I vote real one, chances are slim the important people will see it and that it would negatively impact your qualifications.but i wouldn't take the chance
How laid back? What kind of engineers?
If they work for the DoD, get the US Flag.
If they make roller-coasters, go with Pixar.
In between....trip to the post office?
They probably won't notice, but what if they do?
I open mail for our organization. No one pays attention to the stamp. In the rare case that it was noticed, unless you didn't mention that you have kids, I wouldn't give it a second thought.
I wouldn't pay attention to the stamp.
Good luck on the job!!!
Those Pixar ones look more like children's stickers than stamps.
I second the electronic "thank you". By the time they receive your hand-written letter they will have already made their decision. At this point, I would save the $1 and email in the interest of timeliness!
Go with a regular stamp, the more seriously they take you the better.
sometimes its great to bring thank you card with you. if you are interested in a position, you can just drop it off with the front desk person. good luck!!! if the job is meant to be, you will get a call. a second interview, its usually a good sign.
