JFF ~ Recurring Dreams

So I had the dream again last night.

I'm in college and I've just realized I've forgotten to go to a class all semester (this time is was History) and the semester is almost over. There is no hope of recovery and I don't even know where the class is being held. I'm wondering around aimlessly, in a panic, looking for the classroom or a schedule to show me where to go, eventhough there is no use.

I've had this dream since I graduated from college, but oddly enough never when I was actually in college. Not only that, I was very studious in college, never missed a class unless it was absolutely necessary.

Do any of you have recurring dreams you want to share??

What can I do next?

I have had that dream too, don't know if it's high school or college but it's the same and sometimes it'll be where I can't remember my locker combination either. Weird.

I have had that dream!!! I know other people that have had it too, so I wonder what brings it on.
Other recurring dreams I have had: I used to dream that my teeth were falling out. Like when I would bite down on them they were all wobbly and I was afraid they were going to come out. Turns out I would wake up and be grinding my teeth. I don't seem to have that one anymore.
I have had a dream that I am in an elevator and it plummets to the ground. In the dream I think it is exciting, but I have a huge fear of heights and rollercoasters, so I don't know if I somehow know it is a dream in the dream?
I used to wait tables in college and on extremely busy nights at work, I would often have a dream in which I am taking someone's order and then be so tired that I ask them to scooch over and I actually lay my head down on their table!
When I taught elementary, I always had this dream sometime in the middle or end of summer. I would be standing at the front of the class trying to teach a lesson, but all the kids were running around. In one dream a couple kids were tossing around a football and another was grilling burgers over a charcoal fire!
Bueller....Bueller....
;-p

I've had dreams that I'm back in high school. And in the dreams, I remember being so mad because I keep telling everyone - I already graduated from college - why do I have to go through high school AGAIN???

Another one is me losing my teeth - either them falling out or being loose. The first thing I do when I wake up from those is run my tounge against my teeth to make sure they are all there!

I have the same recurring dream! In fact I was just talking about that the other night when I was at dinner with some old high school friends, and several of them share the same recurring dream!

I have only one other recurring dream. I'm out in public somewhere with my daughter (she is always little in the dream) and I'm holding her hand. At some point, I look down and another little girl is holding my hand. I immediately start asking her who she is and where is my daughter, but she insists she is my daughter. Ugh, gives me goosebumps just thinking about it!

It's not a recurring dream, but a recurring place.... For some reason almost every time I dream, no matter what the dream is about, if there is an indication of me being home then it is the home I grew up in with my grandparents.

I used to have one where there was a huge old victorian style house and it was always on fire with a kid inside screaming. I run on the paved path up to the house and I could never reach the house I just kept running and running and running toward the screaming child.

I quit having these dreams when we driving to the lake we always used to go to but decided to go to a different area and I saw the house that was in my dreams. Gave me the heebie jeebies but I haven't had that dream since

hmmm, mind if I do a little armchair analysis on the dream? Maybe you feel like you didnt choose the right field of study and "missed" the right class.

Maybe you don't feel like you got all you should've out of school and you're desperately trying to figure out what you missed, but realize it's too late.

Maybe you thought once you finished school, you'd have your future all mapped out for you, but either have not found that path or haven't gotten so far off of it that you are desperately tring to find something to point you in the right direction.

Maybe it's just gas! :)

I used to have a recurring dream that my brothers held me upside down over a wishing well that wqas converted to a snake pit as a roadside attraction. I had been having it all my life and had convinced myself it was a memory. My parents and my brothers swear it never happened. WHo knows.
