What is the one thing that you and your partner call eachother that no one would understand without explination?

For me and bf its that we call each other our swan. The reason for it is that swans only have one partner unless one dies. Then it takes them forever to find the perfect match again. We are eachothers other swan!

What can I do next?

OK, at the risk of being publicly humiliated (hey, at least I am anonymous!)

My husband calls me "pad." Like a maxi pad...so embarrassing.

Once, I told him a story about how, when I was away in college living in dorm housing, my overbearing parents would stop by to visit me from time to time. They had this notion that I was basically totally unable to care for myself, so they would bring me everything -- milk, cereal, underwear, Ramen noodles, everything. Including maxi pads.

I would get so embarrassed because if they would come into my room, trampling down the hallways with boxes and bags of this and that, and often it would attract a lot of attention becuase it was a lot of stuff! And, if I had a friend (or my boyfriend) in the room at the same time, they carried no hesitation to pass me all my things as they unpacked, including the dreaded boxes of maxi pads.

And, my parents are Caribbean so they have real thick accents, so they would be like, "Here's your pods!" (said with a heavy emphasis on the P, in a thick Jamaican accent).

Plus, my mom's real old school so they weren't the thin kinds -- they were the superthick mattress types, like maternity pads, so they would come in really big boxes.

When I told my husband all this he pretty much cried and wet himself at the same time, he was laughing so hard. So, ever since then, he likes to sometimes call me "pad" in a really thick Jamaican accent.

OK, I can't believe I typed all this. I am so embarrassed!

We call each other Baby. We definately Baby each other.

He calls me T. Ann
- first and middle, as though I'm in trouble. The context he uses it in means basically, what am I gonna do with you, shaking his head and smiling and saying "cant live with her cant live without her"

I call him Roberto because its like we speak two differant languages.

We have all sorts of names. Honey and babe most often - but at times we will call each other "homeybunmy". Look close - it isn't a typo. HOMEY BUNMY. It comes from how a touch screen phone will misread swype. He was calling me honeybunny and it came out homeybunmy and it has stuck.
