Drink. A lot. LOL! Kidding! I at least wait until they're in bed ;0)
If they're driving me absolutely bonkers, I settle them in front of the TV. Yup! I totally use PBS as a babysitter sometimes. And I don't even feel guilty about it. :)
Ok Momma's You know those days where everything seems to be going wrong? The Days where, I swear, all your kids decide amongst each other to make your day a living hell?? haha
The days where you just want to scream and run out of the house??
What do YOU do to calm yourself back down??
Me: I step outside and read for a min or two.
Or, like I just did..I clean.
I just scrubbed the heck out of my shower lol

wait you mean to tell me that normal people don't actually just run out the house screaming?! oops.
really though I take the ipod, a nice hot cup of coffee and a book and sit in the bathroom. If there's time i even draw a bath.
clean like down on your knees with a toothbrush clean
take the dogs for a walk
or actually just lock myself in my bathroom for 10 minutes and scream/cry
I am thinking about doing that right now
Lately I will take some time to get on the computer and get on this website, so that I can see that I am not the only one trying to keep my sanity, and that there are other moms out there with issues like mine. :-) Or sometimes when they are really driving me nuts, I will let them play video games or watch a movie so that I can watch something and take a break for a while (with a cup of coffee, of course). Or if I'm really tired, I'll just lay down and close my eyes for a second to calm myself down, then focus on one small task I need to get done once I get up again. Sometimes if I can get just one thing done, even if it's small, I feel a little better.
Go to the grocery store. Sounds corny, but my husband never minds keeping the kids while I grocery shop, so, it's one of the only times I'm ever alone.
I watch certain shows after I put the kids to bed that cheer me up ...Glee, Raising Hope, How I met your Mother, Modern Family, American Idol, S#!t my Dad Says. These are my guilty pleasure shows that sit in the DVR until I need to be cheered up or let off steam laughing.
Take a shower, if it's around her nap time and she's being stubborn I take a drive (calms me down too), turn on shrek and chill out for a bit, or clean.
Clean the dickens out of something, take a walk outside, or stand under the shower until my fingers get pruny.
I say "Honey! How would you like to take the kids out to dinner tonight? Take your time, enjoy your children, don't hurry back!"
Take a few minutes to gather myself (bathroom or our bedroom), step outside and take a deep breath, sometimes go outside to scream, cry or laugh, listen to music really loud, take a hot hot bath, take a drive, eat something sweet :)

If it is warm enough outside I send everyone outside while I stay inside. Cleaning helps me relax too. When these don't work I go shopping and just wonder around thinking about nothing.
I mediate,exercise and read
I do the stair machine and watch HGTV.
well if its before 8, i work out, or take a walk, if its after 8 i have a glass of wine or snifter of whiskey.
Sometimes i will make the kids play in one of their rooms with the door closed while i watch a movie in the dark, with my wine.
Have some wine...lots and lots of wine lol :)
You mean - when I finally get a moment of peace when my son falls asleep and I have that glass of wine?
.
I make up an excuse to run an errand suddenly. =)
