My little Jessie who turned 2 on a few weeks ago told me this morning that she had to go potty.... so... naturally, I took her to the toilet, placed her on it expecting nothing but her to wanting to put the entire toilet paper roll in the toilet like usual, and what to my surprise... She peed!!!!! OMG.... this is so exciting! When she was done, I asked her if she was done and she told me no, and she started peeing again!! Then i asked her if she was done again, and she said "Yes, mommy" and she took some toilet paper, wiped, got off the toilet, flushed and got on the stool to wash her hands. This is one of the proudest moments for me as a mommy and I just wanted to share it with all my friends here at mamapedia! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the things my wife and I did was reward good bathroom behavior. I had a two gallon glass jar that the kids could choose something out of when they used the toilet. Positive reinforcement!

You'll have many proud moments, and this is one of the great ones. Don't feel bad if she isn't consistent - just remember that she WILL eventually be 100% trained and don't push. Just show her how proud you are of her and let nature take its course.

I hope you did loud clapping and made sure you shared her good news with everyone in the house and Daddy when he got home! In other words I hope you made it a *very* BIG DEAL...b/c it is one!
She sounds like she is more than ready. I suggest going to all panties all the time! Talk with her about it, go to the store and let her pick out her favorite kinds of panties and then... JUST DO IT!
~I have 3 kids (2 boys and 1 girl) and all 3 of my kids were completely potty trained (night AND day) right at or around 2y/o!! I used Dum-Dum suckers as a reward for going...they are the perfect size and my kids LOVED suckers!

CONGRATS.....I know some may think its silly to be this excited, but I say majority of people in this group totally gets it - including ME....
