A.

I have a 15 year old step-son that lives with me and an 18 year old step-daughter who lives with her mom. I also have my own children who is 5 and one due in February. Any time you want to talk just let me know.

My name is L. I am married and have 4 children, my son is 9, my daughters are 3, 2,and 1. I have been with him for 5 and a hald years he is the father of my 3 girls we have been married for 10 months. have a good day.

Hi J.! My kids aren't quite as old as yours but they are older (at least 2 of them are!). I have 3 - 10, 7 and 2. The 2 year old was a mid life crisis. I decided I needed a boy. I am 35 (36 in Dec) and have been happily married for 11 1/2 years. I agree about most of the questions being about younger kids. Maybe we should organize a mom's group for parents of older kids....meet once a month for lunch and discuss any concerns we are having at the time. Let me know what you think (or anyone else who reads this can let me know what they think too!).

My kids are 11,12,14, and 15. I am divorced, but Dad is very active with the kids. My kids are all adopted and the 12 year old lives in a group home due to severe emotional disturbance.

I live in Springtown and work full time, but am home by 4pm.

Hi there, I just joined this site and haven't had a chance to look around that much; however, I thought I'd respond. I have 4 children-- Boy7, Boy5.5, Boy4, Girl22mo.

I too have older children, 13 yr old son, 14 year old (step)daughter and three older (step)sons (my son's half brothers) 21,23,&25 and 3 other (step)daughters 18, 22 & 24. The boys are from my ex and the girls are my "domestic partners" daughters (we have been together for almost 9 nine years). While enjoy reading the posts on the younger ones, I am curious about the trials and tribulations we go thru with the teens. Would love to chat with you and/or others!

Hi, my oldest son is 12...granted I am not raising him, but I still get to see him-when we can get together. He's such a doll, and so is his younger (11) brother. If you want to chat, I'm more than willing to chat. Thanks, and I hope that helps.

I have three teenaged boys, 16, 17 and 18. They are the size of men and they eat us out of house and home! But that's ok. They're good people, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! The 18 year old is moving out in June to work at a camp, and then on to a university after a year at community college. They're all becoming more and more independent, and it's great to see all of our hard work as parents paying off.

I love them all, but I'm also looking forward to seeing them off on their own, raising their own families, etc in the years to come.

My kids aren't quite as old as yours, but we're definately out of the colic & diaper stage! My son is 7 & my daughter is about to turn 6 in a couple of months. I know what you mean, that a lot of the questions seem to be similar problems, but just keep your eyes peeled & you'll see questions about everything from teenagers battling depression, husbands working too much, nosy mother-in-laws & everything in between. My husband & I have been married almost 8 years & been together for 10, so we're not all spring chickens here I guess!

My name is T. and I'm a soon to be divorcee....single parent of 2 boys...ages 10 and 14. They're my life....and totally different. The 14 year old is the popular kid at school and is involved in many sport activites. The 10 year old loves his game systems and has maybe a friend or two. I have many stories to share about them. I also worked in a daycare for 7 years (was the best job I ever had, I would still be there if I didn't have to think about the future)
I also love reading the stories and worries of new parents....some even make me smile just remembering what I went through when mine were small. I've learned many ideas from reading and hands on experience. Thought I would say HI!

The only thing I can help you with is the oldest child I have is eight yrs. I have a 15 month old 4 yr 6 yr and 8 yr and my husband and i have been married for 8 yrs. So I am not sure if that helps you at all but i tried.

I have school-age kids.My son is 8 and my daughter is ten.I am currently going through the tweens with my daughter.She is very emotional.She has a quick temper too.I have been trying to encourage her to rein in her anger to keep from geting so upset.Any advice?

Hi J.! I have two teenagers. A girl 17 (18 this Saturday) and a boy 15. I have often wondered the same thing you have. As much as I enjoy reading and responding to the moms who have small children, I would love to hear more from moms who have kids the same age as mine.

I have the best of both worlds, 12 & 14 yr old boys and 3 yrs & 8 month old girls. A lot of times, the boys are worse!! Sometimes I wonder if this is paybacks for all I put my parents through. LOL!!

I have older kids--20,17, and 11. I don't kow about you but i read alot of the younger Mothers stories and it brings back a ton of memories for me. Like potty training, babies not wanting to sleep, teething. Whew~! Been there...done that~!

I have two sets of twins that are 16 and 13 and then two step daughters that are 9 and 12 alot older then some 3-4 year olds. I have a question for you. I see you have been with your hubby for 20 years, happily married? I have been with my hubby 8 years not so exciting anymore, how do you do it? I am losing interest I could use some advice I guess.

I have three kids 20b, 22g, 24g, and two stepdaughters 27g, 25g.. I have always used the size 9 ft rule. I have told MY kids that IF I ever get wind of them drinking, doing drugs, smoking, etc...that i would plant my size 9 foot so far up their butt that they would have it get it surgically removed. But I also took an interest in their liveds from the start. We did so much together. We were the 4 musketeers. Now that they are grown and on their own, it is hard for us to do things together. It gets very chaotic now.. I'd never change my kids for anything in the world. I get commented all the time on how good my kids have turned out and people have wondered how i could stand to have my stepdaughters around. I grin and bear each minute they are here, especially the oldest one. Every holiday and special occasion, there always is some type of scene from the oldest one. Trying to deal with that is hard.

Hi J., I have been married to my husband for 16 years. We have 2 girls, 13 and 15. a Son, 10. We also have "shared custody" of several others, 3 girls, 14, 15, and 16, and 3 boys 15, 17, and 18. By "shared custody" I mean, they actually have their own families and homes, but they sleep over 4 to 5 times a week and spend everyday here. I would love to hear from you. With so many teenagers in my life, its always a treat to talk to a real grown up about grown up things.
