Does anyone having any advice on a kids picnic table? We are thinking of purchasing one for our child and I see online they have some by little tykes that fold up, and othes with umbrellas etc. Just wondering if anyone out there had a favorite or could tell me whether going plastic for such is a good bargain or not?
Thanks,
K.

I have a wooden playset in the back yard and it has a picnic table built in and we use that one in the back yard... I have a little plastic table with 2 plastic chairs that we have upstairs... that's okay but for kids learning to balance themselves on a chair, they can tip over kinda easy (both the chairs and the table)...but the little plastic picnic table I purchased is WONDERFUL... he can color all over it and I use that Mister Clean Magic Eraser... cleans it right up... we can take it inside/outside/front/back... with ease... it's a WONDERFUL investment and actually sits in our breakfast nook now for him to play with play doh on and to draw and color in his coloring books

I just bought a picnic table that comes with a sandbox and cover from Sam's. It is pretty nice.

We don't have a picnic table, but a little plastic table with 2 chairs that we use ALL the time (inside and out). The kids LOVE having a place to sit that's just their size. We didn't go for the picnic table because the seats on many are fixed too far away from the table, making it hard for a small toddler to reach well.

Just bought the Little Tykes Jr. picnic table for my 21 mth old-it is perfect for her. She sits there all the time and colors, eats, and plays with her dolls. They are pretty cheap at Walmart and if you get the Jr. table you can always upgrade once your son is bigger in a few years.

It is plastic and folds up into a square for easy storing as well.

If you plan on buying him a swing set anytime soon, hold off on the picnic table because a lot of swing sets have tables as an option. Just something to think about.
