I don't want to scare you and I do not claim to know what I am talking about. My information may be old time medicine, but there was the day, depending on how a tubal was done, where the tube could become untied. A tubal pregnancy could occur. So, if you think there is any chance that you are pregnant, or having any pain.....go see your doctor and have it checked out. I'm talking 25 years ago, so modern medicine probably corrected this.

Hi M.,

I am 42 and had a tubal when I was 28. I haven't experienced the problems that you have...not sure that it would be able to throw you into menopause. I agree with the other posts that said to contact your doctor and have them run a blood test to see the level of your hormones. That will reveal if you are experiencing early menopause or not. Good luck and let us know how it all comes out. :-)

Hello M.,

how is your stress level? that can affect you too. Your question got me thinking... I got a tubal about 6 years ago and for the past couple of years my periods have been very irregular. in fact this year has been the worst...I was stressing about it now I'm just letting things take its course. You could be in perimenopause. next time you go to the doctor for any type of blood test, make sure they check your vitamin D levels. It should be between 32 and 100. I don't know if this is helpful. Good luck! ~C.~

M.,
I had a tubal at 32 after the the birth of my son. Since the, I've had many symptoms of pre-menopause. My doctor's nurse commented, "Oh yes, they don't tell you that" when I spoke with her. My hormones have been out of wack since since the tubal. Knowing this now, I wouldn't have had one. Note, I have more than one friend who has had the same problems.
Consult with your doctor as he/she can help regulate your cycles. Good luck!

Well I also had my tubes tied...BEFORE the birth of my 3rd son! Yes, it can happen, and I have found out it happens a lot more frequently than I ever knew about. I waited until i was 35, and my tubal only lasted 7 mos! My dr said that is very rare to happen so quickly but it did. She said it normally happens when you have ur tubes tied at an early age. It never hurts to run a test and just make sure! If it's negative, i would def' run it past your ob gyn. Good Luck!
