Husband is on a business trip in Tampa and my boys (6 & 8) and I are heading down to visit him. They are Legomaniacs so wanted to head to Legoland. Can we do it in one day or is two days better? Obviously the waterpark side is closed this time of year. Any other advice or considerations? Thanks in advance!

So What Happened?

Perfect trip! Thanks for all of the advice! The weather was overcast so hardly anyone was there. Veteran's Day discounts helped us save $200 getting in. My kids were the perfect age for Legoland too. Tall enough to ride everything and they had a blast!

We are season pass holders and go often. Your boys are the perfect age for Legoland. Depending on how crowded it is you can definitely do the park in one day. The thing that takes the longest and always has the longest line is the Ford Driving School. Try and head there first. It's all the way at the end of the park. Besides that the lines move pretty quickly on everything else. Have fun!

One day is more then enough time to get through LEGOLAND Florida it's nit that big. Be sure to check their hours since they are usually closed Monday thru Thursday this time of year.

We just took our boys (9, 6, 4) in July. They LOVED it. You can definitely do it in a day. We found a coupon on the back of a Pepsi can for 1 free child with every adult. So, we paid for 3 adults and got 3 kids in free. Check around for discounts (tickets are just under $100 per person).

Right when you go into the park there is a huge gift shop. Shop first! They will hold your purchases until the end of the day. We did that and it was great! The gift shop gets super busy at the end of the day and the lines get long.

Can definitely do it in one day. They will have a blast! They do have shorter hours/closed Tues./Wed. this time of the year so make sure you check the park schedule online. Everything is worth seeing in my opinion. The waterski show is ok. I saw it once and never felt the need to go back. There are a few other shows and a movie theater. Miniland you can go through as quick or as slow as you want. Avoid the Chima ride unless you want to walk around in wet clothes! Or bring a change of clothes. We got soaked on that ride no matter where we sat!
Definitely check out the gardens in the back of the park. There is a huge banyan tree back there which is impressive. It had been there for years and was part of the original Cypress Gardens theme park that used to be there.
