Hello again everyone! I am currently looking for a church in the West/northwest area of Ft. Worth. I would love to take my kids as well but I need someplace that can handle my child with Autism and my youngest who is going through separation anxiety and the terrible twos! lol I grew up in Disciples of Christ so I am looking for that or for non denominational. Thanks for anyone you can give me some suggestions!!

What can I do next?

R.,

Although my church is not in the area you are looking, I wanted to mention a program we have for families of special needs kids - it is called Kids Night Out. I think it is done once a month and it is a program where there are specially trained people (along with lots of other folks there to help) who watch your special needs child, along with your other children, while you have a night out. You do not have to be a member at our church to participate - just a good place to leave your child where their special needs can be handled and you can have a little break. Call ###-###-#### - Altamesa Church of Christ - for more details. Even though it's not in the part of town you are looking, it could be a great place for a little help now and then when you need a little relaxing.

If you would like to look up more information their web site is www.rhchurch.org . Go to the ministries tab find the childrens ministry button. Then click on Distabilities Ministry located in the top right corner.
I hope this helps.

HI Rebbeca,

We go to Pantego Bible church and love it. The small groups are great and the couple that leads ours has a son with Autism...close to the same age as your son..I think he is 4. Let me know if you would like anymore info...we would love to see you.

Hello R.. I know Christ Chapel is a great church to go to and they have a special buddy program for children with special needs. I would recommend going to check it out. I have been going to this church for 6 years and love it still today. It is located off of Montgomery and IH 30.
