I have curly hair and have gone to Mac Daddy in Forest Park on Madison Street. I thought Renee did a really good job with cut and highlights. Thomas looks to be great as well.
I've just moved to Oak Park from Florida and I'm looking for a hairdresser who's good with curly hair! Can anybody refer someone in the Oak Park/ Chicago area?

I've used Gilbert Bentley at Art & Science for the last five years. Although my hair is not curly (I have thick wavy hair) most of his clients have curls and he has had a ton of experience with curly hair. Many of my curly-haired friends also see him. He also grew up with several curly-haired sisters!
I would suggest scheduling a consulting appointment, discuss your options and see how comfortable you are with him.

Good luck on finding the new look!
I recommend A Matter of Style in the Oak Park downtown area. Somewhat expensive but good. I go to Rita but you could ask for the best hirdresser for your hair type. Welcome to Oak Park!

I go to a place in Oak Park called Pagani. I have been in Oak Park for about a year and have been very happy with the service I've received there. The stylist I go to there is named Brooklyn and he has given me some great haircuts. I don't have curly hair, but I'm sure he or another one of their stylists would surely be able to work with your hair. Tell them I referred you and I think you get a discount on your first cut.
Good luck on your haircut and your baby!! Hope to meet/see you around Oak Park!
