I second the little chapel at TWU in Denton. It is in a beautiful setting...lots of big trees and the inside is so pretty.
Hi! I am having a very small wedding in May, and I am looking for a small church with some history. I've already been to Old City Park in Dallas and the historical park in Farmer's Branch. Those aren't working and I'm running out of ideas! Does anyone have any ideas for me? I don't really want to do the typical "wedding chapel" route. Thanks!

Someone told me Joe T Garcia's in Fort Worth has an antique chapel next door to them that they rent out. If nothing else, I love the outdoor area of Joe T's - it's gorgeous for a wedding!
Hello! A friend of mine was married 3 years ago this May at a very small, very old church in Anna. It was so cute but it didn't have air. It was quite warm once everyone was seated but it worked out great. They used hand fans as the programs so everyone was fanning. It has a balcony for more seating. If it's still there you should check it out.
Have you tried downtown McKinney or downtown Plano areas? How about the downtown Grapevine area? All these areas are alive and well and have history. There is an old white clapboard looking church way out on East Parker Rd. near Southfork Ranch area that is really old, but cute. It is north side of the street. I bet you can find some history there!
I can't think of the name of this church but it is on 3040/Flower Mound Road in Lewisville/Flower Mound. It is so cute! Maybe someone else will suggest and know the details...
I second TWU's Chapel in the Woods . . . it is adorable and in a perfect setting. But I do not believe it will seat 250. When I rented it I counted off and I think it will only seat around 110 if you don't use the balcony . . . which we wouldn't because the spiral staircase that goes up there is quite small.

TWU's Chapel in the Woods is beautiful too.
Little Chapel in the Woods on the Texas Women's Universtiy campus.
It has a great history, very pretty, and is the perfect size for a small wedding.
I got married at the Little Chapel in the Woods at TWU, it is beautiful, I can send some pictures if you want :)

I was married at a very cute and small historic chapel in Lewisville. It is located off of Round Grove Rd and I-35E. It was built in 1901 and seats up to 100 people. There is also a small reception hall next to the chapel. They do a lovely cake and punch reception there. The only thing I remember being an issue is that we had right at 100 guests and the reception hall was a bit crowded. Luckily the weather was nice and people just went outside! Take a look at the website, but check it out in person to get the feel of the place before you make your decision.

Chinn's Chapel on Chinn's Chapel Road at Hwy 407, just west of the Shops at Highland Village. A small, intimate space with lots of history. (^_~)
Hi L.,
My husband and I were also married at the Little Chapel in the Woods. It was beautiful! I highly recommend it!
Congratulations!

There is a church on Hebron parkway near Marsh it is a historical site I think but still an active church. Right across from the playground and landscape place near the railroad tracks. In plano/carrollton GOdd luck
My husband and I were married at The Little Chapel in the Woods on the TWU campus in Denton. It's a gorgeous chapel with some great history behind it. It is not very big-it will seat around 250 I believe. Also, it is not very expensive-a plus with all the other costs that go into a wedding. The scenery outside around the church makes for some beautiful photos. I hope you find this helpful and congratulations on your big day.
There is a old small church in Lewisville right off Round Grove Road just west of I-35. I think it is called Round Grove Chapel (or something like that) We looked into it but it was too samll for us I think it holds less than 100 people. It would be great for that kind of thing. I think they also have a bldg next door to do like a cake and punch reception at, if you are looking for that.
Hi L.! White's Chapel United Methodist Church in Southlake has a small chapel (the original church) that is used for weddings. It's recently been restored and is really pretty. You can see pictures of it at: http://www.whiteschapelumc.org/insidegallery/view/6

I know there is a place in McKinney off of HWY 5 I think-It's not far from the Collin County Courthouse-Kind of off the beaten path. Sorry that's the best I've got for you...
