Hello mommies! I have 2 question really. My husband and I plan to start trying for our first next month! We are thrilled! I live in rancho cucamonga and am new to the area. Any obgyn referrals would be great in or nearby rancho. Also, I have been on ortho-tri-cyclin for 7 years now. I had irregular periods from age 13-19 and was put on the pill to regulate my cycle. I was told I had ovulation problems. This of course was during the big change of every woman's body and I was told I would grow out of it. I have been on it ever since. My concern is how my body will act after being medically regular for so long. Will it be difficult to conceive? Just a bit anxious! Would love any advice or support! Thanks a million!!!

What can I do next?

I've heard really great things about Dr. Easter in Upland. But I had and loved Dr. Shanta Srivastava in Upland, she was great!

It may be to far for you, but who knows! My ob is amazing. I love her. Her name is Stephanie Cropper. She has an office in Pomona and one in Chino Hills. Good luck!

Hello K.! I had the same scenario! I started my period very early, at about 9, and have never been regular! I was put on Alese and Ortho-tri-cyclin for about 7 years as well! I got married at 22 on Feb 8th 2004 and by March 20th 2005 at 23 I had this gorgeous baby girl! We weren't even trying! So....i think that it is very possible for it to happen and i think it depends on the case of each person! The one thing to never do is worry so much about it for the first year! They say on average no doctor will worry unless it has been a full year! Enjoy the trying now :)

If you are looking for someone really local, I would suggest Dr. Hillenbrand (sp?). My sister goes to her and she delivered my friends twins. I go to an ob/gyn in Loma Linda that I like a lot. Her name is Dr. Hart. Good luck with everything.

Hi! How exciting for you :) I used Dr. Johnson /Dr. Gamm in Rancho Cucamonga off the 210. They were great! I have been seeing Dr. J for years now but Dr. Gamm actually delivered me and she was awesome. I too was on ortho tri cyclin for 7 years to help control ovarian cysts and had no problem conceiving. Also (this is a bit early) but a great pediatrician in Rancho is Dr. Pascual. Good luck to you!!

Congratulations on wanting to be a parent! Here is another OB/GYN to look into. Woman's Medical Group of Upland, Dr. Easter, Dr. Rodrigues and Dr. Chong ###-###-####.

I have been going to them for years and like them. What I really liked about this team is that during the course of your pregnancy you see all three doctors, so that you get to know all three. That way on the day you deliver one of these three doctors will be there and not some other "on call" doctor you have never seen before. It made me more comfortable knowing that regardless of the day a doctor I knew would show up to do the delivery.

As far as your concern about conceiving, I would go to the OB of your choice before you start trying and let them know your concerns. They will be able to let you know what to expect. I would also start taking a pre-natal vitamin now, before you conceive, since it is very important that you have a good supply of folic acid in your body before and during your entire preganacy but especially during the first several weeks of gestation when the brain is forming and you usually dont know your pregnant yet.

Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK! You wont regret your decision! There is a quote I love by Elizabeth Stone, which sums up this time in your life perfectly... "Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body"

It seems like most women I know always use Dr. Alwan locally her in Rancho and Upland. He is fantastic. I used him and I can see why. He delivers at San Antonio Hospital. He did my C-Sec and all the nurses knew he was my doctor by how well my cut was after delivery. I haven't had any conception problems but as many of women as I know who use him I guessing he does well too. Good Luck!

The best ones I know of are Dr Armada at San Antonio Hospital and Dr Vu, who is also affiliated with the hospital. Both are terrific. Dr Armada delivered our boy and he was wonderful.

Dr. Channell is in Rancho he is awesome! Great bed side manner, and very comforting Dr. One of my friends only saw one Dr her whole pregnancy. But when she went in to labor Dr channel ended up delivering her, and she loved hin too. He shares a practice with his wife. She is a general Dr. Nice clean office, that is not jam packed. He left another practice in the area, to start his own. I was not happy with some of the Dr's at the practice he was with before. They were not very professional in tense moments. But he is great. Good Luck! Jennifer
