M.P.
my mom is into all kinds of crafts, and she goes to Michael's or Joann's for her yarn and supplies. Those two stores are national chains and carry just about everything you could need for crafts.
I was wondering if there is yarn store closer to me than the East valley. I'm at 35th Ave and Glendale. Also wondering if there are any other knitters out there.

YES! A good knitting store is on Indian School between 111th Ave and Dysart. Avondale/Litchfield Park area. It is called Cotton Fields Quilt and Knit. The people there are extremely nice and helpful. If you are a beginner there is always someone that you can ask questions.
Hi J.,
I get my yarn from Joanns they are located at Desert Ridge (Tatum & the 101), Arrowhead (Bell & 83rd Ave) , 35th Ave & Peoria. The Arrowhead location has a great teacher for crochet and knitting. There is also a Hobby Lobby at 43rd Ave & Union Hills.
Hope this helps..

Hi J. - I'm planning on knitting in the near future. I'm working on a counted cross-stitch birth announcement and then am planning on learning how to knit. I know of a great yarn store named Jessica's in Scottsdale. Does that help? Not too familiar with the geography of the Valley just yet. I get together with some girlfriends for Craft nights on Tuesday from 7-9ish. Let me know if I can help you any further?...
