Have you tried Zion in Brighton. Its on Skeel street (I think) It has a school attached to it, so I am assuming its very family friendly. I have heard great things about their school.
My family and I have lived in the Thornton/Brighton area for the last 3 years. We have tried a couple of churches, but are having trouble finding one that suits our needs. We loved our church in Golden (Faith Lutheran Church). We are looking for an ELCA church that does have a contemporary worship service and a great childrens program. We have a 9 year old daughter and 3 month old son.

Hello,
There is a church in my area off of 80th and conifer. I worked at the early learning center located in the church during the school year and everyone in the church is wonderful.

Hope this church is what you are looking for.
I would recommend Crossroads Church on I-25 and 128th. We've been there for five years and love it. Come just to check it out. They are having V.B.S. during the week of July 28th- Aug 1st. It is fun and also free. The kids will enjoy it. L. O.
Hello-
We live in north Thornton and go to church in Louisville at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. It is ELCA which is different from MSLC. They have a 9:30 contemporary service and I love Pastor Dan. We have 2 children and they enjoy their programs as well. The pastor makes the difference for us. Their website is ctsonline.org.
My family and I attend Risen Savior Lutheran on 144th, just east of Lowell and love it. It is a LCMS and has great contemporary services at both 9:30am and 11am in addition to a more traditional service at 8am. They have numerous kids and adult programs throughout the week. Check out their web site at rslc.org.
Have you tried the one on 136th just east of Colorado Blvd? I have a lot of friends that love that church.
I am not sure about the ELCA churches in the area but I know that Peace in Arvada is great. I haven't been to King of Kings but I know they just got a knew pastor.
Peace has around 20 support groups and bible studies going a week and has contempory worship. It has a real good youth program and has a preschool as well. It is LCMS though.
I have heard of a church in the Brighton area that is really doing some good work but I am not sure of its anme.
Hope this helps.

Please forgive me for not knowing much about the specifics of the Lutheran faith, but I'd suggest trying Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette on South Boulder Rd. It's interdemoninational with contemporary worship and a great children's program. The web address is http://www.flatironschurch.com
We've gone there a little over a year and love it. Good luck.
