i just had ultrasound done yesterday (09/10/11) and they found a mass outside of my uterus almost 2 inches in diameter. i am single and celebate i haven't had any relationship with a male much less had sex with the opposite sex.
my period is normal & i don't haven't had dysmenorrhea since the time i got my first period.
i wondering what that mass is or if it's related to my bowel movement because i now feel hard to move since i felt the pain on the lower right part of my stomach. i don't think it has something to do with my appendix because the pain subsides and recurrs every now and then.
will i need surgery or will oral meds resolve this. please enlighten me. thanks!
I imagine that the first thing(s) that you need will be a biopsy to find out exactly what the mass IS. Or maybe a CT or MRI to get a different look at it. Once they know what it is, they'll know what the options are
What did the doctor say? You need to have a biopsy and they can probably do a needle biopsy with local anasthesia. Depending on the results of that, they will advise you of surgical options, etc. Just because you're celebate doesn't mean you can't have a benign or cancerous tumor in your reproductive organs. I wish you the best! Hopefully it's just a growth or cyst or something. They're fairly common. Keep us updated!

dr will tell you could just be a sist or lump that can go down and up certain times of the month or may neeed to be removed or watch. Dont freak out wait for dr may need future testing relax good luck
