Invest in a waterproof mattress pad. They aren't very expensive but worth every penny.

A friend told me to double sheet the bed so you don't have to try to change the sheets in the middle of the night. Starting at the mattress, put mattress pad, bottom sheet and top sheet on bed. Put waterproof mattress pad on top of first set of sheets then second bottom sheet and top sheet. That way, if she has an accident, you take off wet sheets and pad and have clean bed ready to go.

You might put a shower curtain under her sheets until you can get a rubber sheet.

Disposable pads sold at drug stores, often for older people. It probably would be more cost effective in the long run to get a rubber sheet.

When my waterproof mattress cover didn't get washed in time I have used the black Hefty type yard bags and towels. Cut the plastic bags so that they cover the top of the mattress. Then place bath towels on top of that. Then put on your regular sheets. This way, the pee is absorbed by the towels, and the bags keep the wetness away from the mattress. If you only use the bag and the sheets (without the towels) the sheets cannot absorb much liquid and then you have liquid that may roll off the plastic and cause damage to the mattress. Besides, who wants plastic directly under them? THe towels are more comfortable. Then you can just wash towels/sheets and have no damage to the bed! Voila!

in the adult diaper section at the store (i.e. target) they sell large-size disposable pads that are absorbant on one side, but don't leak through the other.(similar to what they use in hospitals) i have been using these with my son. i actually do have mattress pads to protect the mattress, but they have to be washed, too & frankly i was getting tired of having to change & wash both the sheet and mattress pad practically daily. i put the pad under the sheet & it's worked great!!

depending on the size of mattress you can buy "waterproof" mattress covers from Target. I have them on all my kids' beds as a precaution and they work wonderfully!!!
If you don't want to go that route or can't find in the size of bed you need, they do make pads that are waterproof and you simply lay across the mid section of the bed and tuck in the side. You have to place it in the general area of where you daughter's bottom would be to catch the accidents. They are pretty wide.
My mom also told me about a website completely devoted to bedwetters with these and other products to help - i have obviously dealt with this too LOL!

hope that helps.

You can purchase a waterproof/water resistant matress cover. I got a great, inexpensive one at Ross.

Try buying a pack of water absorbent pads at the pet store. They come about 10 to a package, are inexpensive and soft enough to put under the sheets to protect the mattress. They are used for training pets, but it's the same idea to protect the furniture from accidents. It's easy clean-up because you can just throw them away. (I used them for a visiting relative who has problems with incontinence. They worked great.)

Good luck.

Stick a large bath towel folded up UNDER her sheet (so it doesn't move while she sleeps) where her mid-section usually rests until you can get a matress cover.

they make all kinds of plastic mattress covers. I would go with a plastic cover and then regular mattress pad later...

You should be able to find them online if you don't have a linens store close by.
