Meeting Other Mommies

Hi J.... I am also a J., my husband and I are both 29 and we have 3 kids together. Liam is 5, Colin is 3 1/2 and Tara is 11 days old. I am eager to get out of the house and meet other mommies. We moved here from Seattle 2 years ago and love it here in Minnesota. We're currently living in Shakopee, however are moving to Edina at the end of next month. Let me know if you'd like to get together sometime, my boys are great with other kids and babies too! :D

Hello J.! Welcome to the twin cities :) My husband and I have been here for almost three years now so that I could attend medical school and decided to start our family in the midst...we have an 8 month old boy that I simply love to death! We also originally came from Oregon...hubby is originally from Portland and I grew up in the Eugene area, we lived across the hall from each other in the dorms my first year of college at OSU and just sort of went from there :) We have found that "minnesota nice" is very similar to people back home and once you get used to the winters it really isn't that bad! My schedule is obviously a bit crazy (I am in the clinical years at various area hospitals) but I am always up for trying to meet new people in the area, especially to help out those who come from "home" (oh, and also fellow Jennifers!)

I'm Suzanne, my nickname is Z.- I go by either just not Susan! I am a first time mommy also with a 2 month old baby girl. We used to live in Eden Prairie but moved to Shakopee last year. I'm 31 and my hubby is 32- so we already have a few things in common. Right now we're having a few feeding issues with our daughter so I haven't been able to get out much yet but I'd love to email back and forth anyways and get to know each other. Hi J.. My name is S. and I also live in Eden Prairie. I have a 3 yo dd, 5 yo dd, plus a 16 yo ds. I am always looking for other moms with kids of similar ages to my girls. I am glad you are getting out and meeting new people.

Hey J.. This is a great post. I'm definitely one of those moms interested in meeting other moms. Another mom from this site has mentioned maybe starting a playgroup. If it works out, I'll try to make sure you know about it. We just moved here in December from San Diego, so I'm always looking for new people to meet too.
