Hello everyone,
I am a 39 year old first time mom to a 25mos old boy. It is just he and I and I'm starting to worry because he is rarely around other kids his age.I work from home most of the time as a realtor and when I have appts he is with a babysitter so we are together almost 24/7.
I am hoping to find some great people and build a circe of friends for both my son and myself. It would be nice to share stories, experiences and the trial and tribulations of motherhood. Most of my friends have kids in HS or are single and out so we just don't have the many common interests any longer.
My son Alexander, is a happy little man (most of the time) and just loves it when he sees other kid his age, I feel real bad that he does not have anyone to play with.

I recommend joining the nearest MOPS, Mother's of Preschoolers. You will meet lots of moms with young children so I'm sure some will be great friend potential and they have lots of playdates so your son will have opportunities to learn and socialize.

I have been taking my daughter to Our Lady of the Rosary on Collier Parkway. (Depends where you are in Lutz on how close that is). They meet at 10 am every other Wed. I think they are suppose to meet next week. You can contact Laura via email
____@____.com. I have also been taking my daughter to our local library weekly for story time. I live is Pasco, but Hillsborough may have something as well.
So check your local church, & library.
There are also several Gymborees in the area, that may be helpful, but they cost $$.

Hi M.. You might find a moms group to be helpful. I belong to the Tampa Moms Meetup Group and the Wesley Chapel Moms Meetup Group. If you go to www.meetup.com you might be able to find a group that's right for you. The groups post events and playgroups on a calendar, and you can pick the ones that fit into your schedule. My sons are 3 1/2 and 18 months. They've found several playmates their age in the groups, and I've found many nice moms to chat with.
