B.W.
I got a mother-baby pendant necklace, brought to me by my little girl with a sweet smile that melted my heart and made me cry. :-)
How did everyones' Mother's Day go Sunday? I am happy. I recieved breakfast in bed and a home-made card with my little mans hand prints on it. It made me happy ;)

On Saturday, I took my wife and MIL out to and late breakfast and dinner. Inbetween I brought a "chick flick" home and we watched it at home We played games as a family and they both got a nap.
I gave my wife, MIL and my daughters & DIL roses from my rose garden. I gave my MIL a birth on our next cruise. I gave my wife some things she had been hinting about for our next trip. I made dinner and dessert with no female help. My sons and SIL's set and cleared the table, washed the dishes and put them away. My Daughters and DIL did nurse their babies, but that's about it. The dads even changed the diapers.
Good luck to you and yours. I hope all of you mom's had a happy mother's day.
I'm glad you had a happy day! I did too. The best part of my day was reading a letter inside a hand-made card that my first grader made for me. The first line states, "I love my mommy because she has clean teeth." :) I love that! The rest of it says all kinds of typical nice stuff, but I love that first line. He said he wrote it because he likes my smile, but I chuckled all day about clean teeth.
We cooked out and played basketball. It was a wonderful family day, and they also got me a gift certificate for a massage. Yay!
I hope you all enjoyed your families yesterday!
I had a lovely Mothers day. Dh had baby up, fed & changed, cleaned up the house & dishes, did dinner prep for my middle daughters birthday dinner we also had happening, bought me some lovely bath stuff & earrings I wanted to wear at our upcoming wedding. He wrote a very sweet card, from him & our little one. Dinner, he did a great job on the BBQ with our kabobs (we're new to bbqing) and it was pretty sweet. My older daughter, not so sweet, she stormed off later on in the evening with her bf, but thats ok... I still enjoyed my day.
Peach crepes and coffee in bed, homemade gifts and funny cards...then church. Home to surprise of a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a reservation for brunch. (yes, I feel very fat right now!) Then I spent the day doing laundry, grading papers and helping my oldest son finish his posters for the school election. Then we got to watch the Giants beat the Rockies! Oh, and on Sat. my youngest was playing second base and got third out when bases were loaded and the tie run was at third....THAT was a great parenting/mothering moment. It is his first year playing non-T-Ball and he was so darn happy, which as you moms know, is what makes me happy.
Great. my 2 littles made me flower crafts in church. My 18 yr old came over and made me a great dinner - penne pasta with hot italien sausage and vodka sauce, caesar salad, and strawberry shortcake. My husband gave me a necklace with 3 little dolphins hooked to each other to represent each of our little ones. It's tricolor - gold, silver, and rose gold. So they are the same but each is a little bit unique - perfect sweet idea he had. What a wonderful family I have been blessed with. Love to all you moms out there. Ihope you felt just as loved.
Mine was pretty fantastic! Kids made me cards, DD made me a beautiful bouquet of flowers out of construction paper, DH bought beautiful flowers, & even baked a loaf of challah bread on Saturday from scratch so he could make me french toast Sunday morning! We went out with friends who are moving away on Saturday night until waaay too late (2am, OMG!) so I slept until 11 yesterday, got up & had my delicious french toast & sausage, then hubs & both kids went out to clean out the garage so I had the house to myself & baked a cake, watched a movie I've been waiting 2 months for the time alone to watch (Lovely Bones) & took a super long shower. DH made dinner & the kids cleaned up. All in all, a pretty fantastic weekend!
Mine was kinda drab. My husband and I planted an herb and tomato garden for my mom on Saturday and she took us out to lunch for my gift. Then yesterday my MIL drove up to our house so we could take her to brunch at a local casino and she won 80 bucks. We brought her home figuring she was going back home but surprised us by getting a suit case out of her trunk and stayed the night.... I was a tad miffed by that shocker as I was not prepared for her to spend the night and was planning on drinking wine and going to bed early. Instead I had to stay sober and chit chat till 9pm when I finally told her "Um, I have to work in the morning so I'm going to bed"... hubby followed shortly after. And in this certain situation, I had HUBBY go put clean sheets on the spare bed for the unexpected MIL overnighter... and he did :)
My sons called and told me that my present from them was that they are awesome sons that make me look good all the time. Sheesh... lol... I gotta love their sense of humor. It worked tho, it was a nice sentiment. Granddaughter sent me a vid saying "happy mother's day Grandma, I love you!"... and she giggled and giggled and made me laff. So, it was all good.
I had a MD weekend! Saturday afternoon we all went to lunch with my mom and 2 of my girlfriends that don't have moms, then we all came back to our house and played dominoes. Sunday we took the kids to a movie to see Rio and then we did some shopping and then we all went bowling. It was great! I didn't have to cook all weekend, the kids made me cute things and hubby bought me my patio set I wanted. I'm glad you enjoyed your MD also! :o)
I got to read all day in the comfort of my pjs and cozy bed w/o any interruptions! My boys made me bfast and lunch so I didn't even have to cook!
I'm so glad your's went well..I heard on the radio this morning that a question was posted on Friday, and the majority answered a positive question in a negative way...since then they have rephrased the question and had more positive response. I have to say Mother's Days have been better than others...but this one was a great one! From my eldest single son walking in and handing me a small country rose off his own rose bush and a hug, to gorgeous flowers from my two daughters and their families, to a certificate for a pedicure! The best gift of all was having them all show up at my Aunt's house for dinner and having a picture taken with the four and one with the future daughter in law and grandchildren! And, Then it carried over last night to my fixing a huge breakfast and they all returned. The joy of the effort in showing up is best gift of all! I wish all moms the gift of time with their children...I know it isn't possible for some, but for those who can - should.
My M Day was wonderful :) My boys and I took my Mom to dinner Saturday evening (she was leaving town sunday after church) and then to the Pet Store. Sunday am my boys and I met my Mom at church and came home to my husband having breakfast ready (he works swing). Then I got my gifts ~ 3 homemade from one son and 1 homemade from the other, those were the best! And hubby and boys bought me 4 new,big flower pots for my back deck and a pink purse picked out by my 7 y/o. We then went to the flower lady down the street and bought flowers for my new pots and went home and potted them. Since hubby had to leave for work he is making me chicken enchiladas for dinner tonight since he is off! My kids even took a 3 1/2 hour nap yesterday so I got to snooze for awhile too.
It was wonderful! Glad to hear you had a nice day too :)
