T.N.
Every sinus issue I have comes with stuffy or 'clicky' ears. I use real Sudafed (that you have to ask for at the pharmacy desk), which solves my problem.
Man, ya'll can't catch a break, can you?
Feel better!
:)
You know when you start getting a head cold or a sinus infection, and you can't hear because your ears feel stuffy?
Yep, that's how I feel right now. Awesome.
Any remedies? My nose isn't stuffed up, I don't have any post nasal drip or a cough, no fever or head ache, but I know my body, and I know this is the start of something gross, so I'd like to nip it in the bud!!

ZINC!!! Take it until you know you're not sick, because if you are getting a cold, it will help shorten the illness.
And use a Neti pot. Sometimes that can help push the germs out if you're not fully sick.
EmergenC, Airborne, Zinc drops and OJ.
I heard that if you drink a lot of warm drinks, like tea and just hot water with lemon, that it helps to push any yucky bacteria in your head area like your throat and sinuses into your stomach where your stomach acid then kills it. Also try eating natural immune boosters like garlic, onions and turmeric. Otherwise I would just try to get lots of sleep and try to destress because stress breeds bad things
Good Luck and feel better
I take EmergenC too. Seems to help symptoms last fewer days whenever we're sick. Load up on fresh veggies and fresh fruit to give your body all that extra vitamins and minerals and anti-oxidants and all that stuff it needs to fight what may be coming and make it last a shorter period of time, or keep symptoms minimal. Try to keep processed foods to a minimum the next few days and just look at the nutritional value before putting anything in your mouth. I did this when my son had sniffles last week and he only had sniffles for two days!
Oh and don't forget to get plenty of shut-eye!
Take loads of Vit C. Perhaps some echinacea and elderberry drops, probiotics. Give your immune system a boost.
I take Emerg-n-C. It's loaded with good things for your immune system. It's a powder that you stir into juice or water. I find it in the health section of Fred Meyer. It's similar to Airborne only less expensive.
If I take echinacea or the Emerg-n-C when I first notice symptoms the cold may be stopped altogether or at the least shortened.
I'm on day 8 of a horrible sinus/head cold...probably the one of the worst ones I've had in awhile. The first day I made up the garlic, lemon and honey tea (you can google the variety of recipes) and I felt so much better the next day. Bummer was I couldn't continue drinking it, gave me horrible heartburn--I'm sure because I'm pregnant.
Along with the other suggestions I'd give it a shot---I was really surprised at how "good' it actually tasted. I thought for sure I'd gag, but it was surprisingly sweet, just wished I could have continued the treatment....
Once I start down that road it is antibiotic time. You could try "real" Sudafed but if the problem persists get yourself to the dr for antibiotics before you're suffering through the holidays.
Ear candles. You can purchase them from any health food store. They look like long hallow candles. Follow the directions on the package. Lay one one side, light the open end of the candle (with help of course) when it gets down so low you take it out douse it with water and it pulls all the wax and build up out of your ears. My husband always uses them when he has a cold and it really helps him. I cant use them because it dries my ears out too bad and then they itch.
