how about cinderella man?
We just bought my daughter a betta fish and we are wanting to name it. I asked my 2 1/2 year old daughter what she wanted to call it. She said "fish" I said no that is what it is, he needs a name. She said Cinderella. I said this is a boy fish. He needs a boy name. So she said "boy fish" lol it was very to funny to us. If anyone has a cute name for thier male fish or other pet, please share with me.
So I feel like every one is getting on to me because I'm not letting her name her fish.
That is totally not the case. She loves Cinderella and everything she sees she names Cinderella. I simply want her to understand the difference between a boy and girl and to give her fish a boy name. I want her to come up with the name on her own so she will have ownership and control and responsibility of feeding him. She just does not know very many boy names. I thought maybe if I asked mamasource to help, I could offer her some names and she might like one of them. Thank you to those who actually helped.

What a cute story. We got a beta when I was a kid (a red one) and apparently, I named him: Fred. Don't know where that came from, but I wasn't much older than your daughter.
Good luck in coming up with a good name!
I think that "Cinderella" is a lovely name for a boy fish that is the pet of a 2 1/2 year old girl. Let your daughter pick the name in order to give her a sense of ownership and control. :)
to cute we had one we called him melot
How about "Bubbles"?
Hi M.! maybe you could ask your baby girl if she likes these names,
Nemo
Bubbly or Bubbles
Alpha
Have a great afternoon,
PM.
Hi M., My first Betta lived 2.5 years and I named him Gefilte. That is a type of fish dish. The current one is named "Wally". I don't know why, it just seemed to fit. Let your daughter name her fish whatever she wants. All these things make for great stories when the kids get older.
Nana to a beautiful 3 mo. old and expectant Nana to another in October
Our first beta was blue so was called Blue Fish. He went on vacation after a year. The next fish was blue and red so he was reddish blue fish but that lasted a day. We now call him Red Fish. We aren't original but we like Dr. Seuss so I say he's named after the book One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Let your daughter name it whatever she wants. It has meaning and makes sense to her.
