Naturopath

I am looking for recommendations for a naturopath with pediatric experience. My daughter has always hated drinking her bottle, and it takes everything I've got to get her to eat solids. She's also been throwing up an entire meal several times a week. We've been the pediatrician and the feeding specialist at a speech clinic, to no avail, so I'm looking for further help. The list of people covered by our insurance is a little daunting, so if anyone has a recommendation that would be great.

What can I do next?

Joann Dechant is working out of Renton I think. She used to work in Redmond but moved. She works for the Healthpoint Community health center. I used to work for her in Redmond and she treated children often.

Sounds as though she might have celiac disease. I know a great naturopath who specializes in digestive problems by the name of Cheryl and her husband David Woods. They have been practicing for a LONG time and were the first ones to get me over my myriad of digestive problems. They are at the Trinity Family Health Clinic.

My naturopath highly recommended Dr. Tamara Cullen, ND. I have not taken my kids there yet, but hope to soon. http://www.naturopathicfamilymedicine.com/

I'd love to hear your feedback if you see her.

I LOVE my doctor - Brandy Ross, ND. I first brought my newborn daughter to her at the recommendation of my midwives, and now I see her myself. I don't know what insurance you have, but she accepts my Regence Blue Shield and my daughter's Lifewise.

She is very friendly, a good listener, and is so knowledgeable! I believe she teaches some classes at Bastyr. She is trying to expand from her small office into a larger space with room for classes right now. Check her out at MoonriseHealth.com!

P.S. - She's in Lynnwood at 164th and Hwy 99.

Hi J.,

First of all, I commend you for being a teacher, much more to those with disabilities. That is exactly where I want to restart my career when I return to the workforce.

Secondly, I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you've been having with your daughter. When I changed our family's doctor to a Naturopath, it changed the health and general wellness of our family and I will never go back. They actually listen and have real solutions for you.

I'm not sure where you live, but I highly recommend my Naturopath who's in Woodinville. Here's her information:

Kathleen Allen ND
Mother & Child Natural Medicine
Woodinville Wellness Center
16818 140th Avenue NE
Woodinville, WA 98072

I also know another one in Snohomish who used to be at Woodinville Wellness Center that I would recommend if you live up that way. I don't have her contact info, but her name is Tiffany Dietrich.

I wish you the best of luck with everything!

Dear J.

We use a wonderful naturopath/homeopath named Dr. Molly Keys. She is on the eastside and if that's a trek for you, I would still say it is well worth it. She is part of the Children's Homeopathic Clinic: http://www.childhomeopathy.com/

Good luck.
